Job Description:

We are looking for a Receptionist/Insurance Services Assistant to join our team.  As the Receptionist/Insurance Services Assistant, you can be part of a growing industry and an expanding company.  You will have the opportunity to provide customer service to our Commercial Lines clients.  You will help our team build stronger relationships with our clients and help protect companies in our community.

As a member of our team the Receptionist/Insurance Services Assistant will provide professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, and colleagues in service-related activities in support of clients.  Specifically, the Receptionist/Insurance Service Assistant will be responsible for: Issuing Certificates of Insurance; processing policy endorsements; assisting in the maintenance of data in the broker management system; and other transactional processes.

Responsibilities:
Answer phones and transfer calls to the appropriate employees.
Greet and assist visitors or escort them to an office or meeting room.
Take messages and make sure they get to the appropriate employees.
Accept and sign for packages and distribute mail.
Filling, bookkeeping and scheduling.
Maintain a pleasant appearance of the reception area or lobby
Issue and forward certificates of insurance
Order and follow-up on policy change endorsements
Check incoming policy change endorsements, and if accurate, forward to insured
If the endorsement is not correct, return to carrier for corrections
Assist staff as needed and as time allows
Reviews and checks policies for accuracy

Qualifications:
High school diploma required
Strong organizational skills
Ability and willingness to utilize company’s computer system and software required.  Excellent typing skills with an ability to compose clear and concise letters required.  Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
High attention to detail essential
Strong ability to listen, discern, and prioritize with clients, colleagues, and insurance carrier representatives based on a deep understanding of relevant issues.
