REPORTS TO: SVP, Human Resources

POSITION SUMMARY:

In conjunction with senior management, formulates strategy and sets direction for talent management and leadership training programs that are consistent with the business goals, enhance the company’s ability to attract, develop and retain the best talent, and position our client as the employer of choice in our chosen markets. Through demonstrated “best practices”, designs and manages the company’s performance management process, leadership development programs, career development, success planning, organization design and effectiveness, and leadership/management training programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Partners with business leaders and HR management team to define and execute a robust talent management and leadership training strategy.
  • Manages major initiatives such as performance management, succession planning, 360 feedback, talent reviews and development planning.
  • Regularly assesses leadership and management training needs. Develops and/or approves content, methods, and materials for training and delivers appropriate programs.
  • Manages all aspects of the company’s rotational development program, including recruiting, assignments, mentoring and career development.
  • Provides guidance and tools to support organization initiatives such as organization design, organization effectiveness and change management.
  • Determines company needs for leadership development, succession planning, career management, interpersonal skills and communication training.  Identifies skill gaps across the organization and provides tactical solutions to address.
  • Provides managers and HR team with the tools, techniques and processes to identify and develop high-potential and other employees.  Actively tracks the growth, placement and retention of identified high potential employees across the organization.  Manages stretch assignments and targeted learning.

May perform other duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal Training/Education:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of talent management, organization effectiveness or management development experience within a fast growth, high-tech business environment.  Demonstrated track record of success in developing and implementing successful and creative talent and performance management programs.  Total experience must include a minimum of 4 years developing and managing best in class development programs, including experience in creating and managing succession planning process, designing development programs and managing the performance management process.  Requires a minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership capacity.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Requires exceptional leadership and influence skills, with the ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization, including the executive team.
  • Must have demonstrated initiative in past performance and be capable of functioning in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated experience as a progressive, creative change agent with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Through prior experience, must have demonstrated high level of skill in dealing with ambiguous and often complex work situations.
  • Requires strong managerial and team building skills.
  • Computer literacy (MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint) required

Senior Manager, Human Resources

Responsible for providing human resources support to a designated customer based within the organization.   From a strategic and tactical perspective, will lead and support all key HR functional areas within assigned group to include compensation analysis, recruiting and selection, retention, employee development, employee relations, legal compliance, performance management, etc.  Develops and drives company-wide programs and initiative and viewed as a strategic business partner, change agent, and member of the management staff. Assists senior management in the development of solutions through cultural process and organizational development.   Accountable for providing alignment at the functional level to identity efficiencies, provide consistency, streamline processes, methodologies, and practices in the areas of human resources.  Expected to manage effectively within a complex environment where dealing with some level of ambiguity is required.  Regularly interacts with all levels of management on matters concerning functional area(s).  Requires the ability to change the thinking of or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • In concert with the Manager, Recruiting, develops and executes strategies for effective talent acquisition.  Works closely with leadership team within customer group to identify effective solutions to recruiting top talent.  In partnership with the Manager, Recruiting, drives the ROI for recruiting within assigned customer group.
  • In concert with Corporate HR and senior leadership within customer group, executes strategy for talent management program and helps achieve optimal results in organizational and employee development.
  • Identifies trends and issues associated with total compensation matters within customer group and partners with Corporate HR team to identify solutions.  Provides advise and direction to leadership on matters pertaining to compensation strategy.  Provides guidance and tactical assistance to HR Generalist with execution of compensation practices (pay evaluations, merit process, etc.).
  • Works with leadership to ensure performance planning is in alignment with corporate goals/objectives.  Provides training and direction to leadership on effective performance management practices and processes.
  • Identifies and analyzes trends in human resources within customer group.  Formulates and executes action plans to address issues identified (i.e., proactive training, turnover/retention strategies, career development modeling, etc.).
  • Partners with management to identify current and future organizational needs/structure and works within Corporate Human Resources to ensure alignment within company.
  • Drives high level employee relations solutions.  Fosters positive employee relations climate.  Provides guidance and tactical assistance to HR Generalist with execution of complaint or performance related investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Promotes a first point of contact environment within assigned customer group for all HR related programs including benefits, compensation, development, and employee relations.
  • In partnership with Corporate HR, leads the identification, development and execution of corporate-wide initiatives (i.e., Cultural Transition, Employee Satisfaction, achievement of policy deployment initiatives associated with Key Business Results, etc.).
  • Directs the daily activities of assigned HR Generalist(s) and/or provide indirect coaching to other members of the HR team.
  • Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time.

Formal Training/Education:

B.S. in HR Management, business or related field; Masters degree or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

Experience:

12  years related experience in a series of progressively more responsible HR positions, including a minimum of 4 years in a leadership capacity.  Experience must include at least 4 years of high level organizational involvement with specific experience developing and executing strategy for recruitment, retention, organizational design, and talent management/employee development.  Must have solid experience in fundamentals of HR including compensation, training, recruiting, performance management, employee relations and policy administration.

Our Houston, TX client is seeking a contract Insurance Billing Specialist.  This position could last 3-6 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Retrieves the daily Insurance Billing Edit files from Office Mate Software.
  • Reviews edit report and corrects claim errors as required.
  • Audit charges and coding for accuracy, specifically duplicate billing entries or missing codes.
  • Corrects charges and coding as necessary.
  • Processes paper claims for those insurance carriers that can not be transmitted electronically.
  • Process electronic claims when appropriate.
  • Corrects and re-files all rejected claims.
  • Files secondary Insurance claims.
  • Audits all returned insurance mail claims and re- files as necessary.
  • Participates in educational and developmental activities.
  • Attends meetings as requested.
  • Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED, preferred some college.
  • At least 5 years comprehensive experience in medical/ physician office environment that includes electronic billing procedures.
  • At least 2 years working knowledge of CPT and IDC-9 coding standards.
  • Generally familiarity with PC’s/ computers, spreadsheets and medical office software.
  • Complete knowledge of clinical registration, patient accounting, billing, reimbursement and third party/managed health care procedures and practices.
  • Basic understanding of CPT and ICD-9 coding and medical office terminology.
  • Skills in analyzing accounting, billing, coding, and third party reports.
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations and compute ratios and percentages.
  • Skills in defining problems, collecting data, interpreting billing information.
  • Skills in using medical software computer applications.
  • Ability to organize work for highest level of efficiency.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and be self motivated.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive, effective relationships with patients and staff.
