Our Humble, TX client is seeking a contract to possible hire Medical Billing Specialist/ Receptionist.

Purpose:

To provide support to patients and Physicians, as needed.  Responsible for various business related function in the physician office, including, but not limited to: greeting patients upon arrival, conducting clinic business on the telephone, making sure that patient encounter forms are complete and accurate, performing data entry (patient demographics), charge entry, billing duties, and serving as a liaison between the providers for the office and office staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all policies and objectives established and approved by the practice and ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist in accomplishing the goals of the practice through effective direction, development and motivation of employees.
  • Answers phones and schedules appointments (new or established).
  • Schedules follow up visits/testing for patients while in office or on telephone.
  • Prepares and coordinates all information relevant to patient visits to office including but not limited to: chart preparation and patient demographics etc.
  • Insurance verification for both inpatient and outpatients including, but not limited to updating information in system as well as documentation in patient’s chart.
  • Assists in all aspect of billing, charge entry, and insurance verification
  • Assist in the coordination of the physicians and physician extenders weekly schedules with in the hospital and office as needed.
  • Assists reviews and evaluates existing practices, procedures and business processes and suggests implementation of new procedures etc. to remain in line with the goals and objectives set forth by the managing physician.
  • Open mail and distribute to appropriate parties.
  • Perform related work as required or perform additional duties as deemed necessary.

Education/ Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior medical office experience as well as medical billing experience is required.
  • Knowledge of finance and billing information systems necessary.
  • Experience at an OBGYN practice.
  • Strong planning, organization, and communication skills are essential.
  • Must be self-directed, efficient, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a key member of the Executive Management team, the GENERAL MANAGER of Global Operations will report to the President/CEO & is accountable to oversee, direct and manage global operations for all accounts including implementation of operations that ensure delivery of quality service and customer satisfaction while increasing incremental revenue and market share to achieve profitable volume growth consistent with marketing plan initiatives while complying with company polices and procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, develop, direct, implement and oversee global projects to ensure delivery of quality service, contractual compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide daily guidance, leadership and overall support to global locations on any issues relating to operations, communication, and revenue enhancement, standardizing procedures, systems applications, and executing processes to meet customer needs.
  • Develop and execute policies, plans, and programs to meet anticipated organizational needs in the import/export and supply chain functions of functional responsibility and ensure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Develop continuous improvement methodology in key areas of service profit and growth, and utilize (KPI’s) key performance indicators to drive and quantify cost optimization while maintaining quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Consult with and apprise management of important issues, operational concerns, personnel matters, capital expenditures, and all commitments obligating the company.
  • Ensure directives, rules and procedures are communicated throughout the operation.
  • Possess understanding of shipping terms, vessel operations, scheduling, bunkering, and insurance matters.
  • Utilize superior communications skills to motivate staff and develop effective working relationships with peers, executives and clients.
  • Oversee and manage the professional development and productivity of staff members to ensure proper goals, training, professional development and project requirements are met.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.
  • Supervision of team members as well as selects, hires and trains logistics personnel implementing processes to motivate and retain employees. Creates strategic work succession processes for career development and facilitate team development, proving coaching and feedback.

BACKGROUND REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management or related degree preferred; or an equivalent combination.
  • Minimum ten years transportation industry experience required.
  • Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) skill set is HIGHLY preferred
  • Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritize tasks
  • Minimum ten years related experience in progressively responsible roles.
  • Minimum ten years industry experience preferred.
  • Minimum ten years supervisory or managerial experience required.
