JOB SUMMARY:

This job holder provides both technical and administrative support in day-to-day C&P activities to achieve the timely and cost effective procurement of goods and services.  This job holder is accountable for the delivery of specific contract activities and solutions.  The incumbent is expected to provide qualitiative and value adding contracts services in accordance with established policies and procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for implementation of company standards.
  • Accountable for compilation, tendering, evaluation and execution of contracts required for the ongoing execution of particular projects through post award.
  • Assist in drafting of standard contracts.
  • Ensure Request for Proposals, Information, and Quotes are issued on time and to the specified parties.
  • Liaison with all Texas and Lousiana based Assets and Departments personnel, suppliers and other third parties on outstanding issues with regard to company standard set of terms and conditions of contract.
  • Communicate with all departments on a daily/weekly basis to check that all outstanding C&P item/issues are being actioned and closed out, reporting outcome of status report to C & P Manager.
  • Responsible for ensuring all assigned contracts have adequate HSSE, Business Principles, audit, governance and quality control requirments.
  • Responsible for performing Contract Administration duties.
  • Works with external suppliers to obtain a competitive price, fast delivery, quality products, and payment terms according to company’s  payment policy.
  • Expected to identify value adding opportunities.
  • Implements defined procedures under supervision.
  • Makes contributions to improve the efficiency of process workflows.
  • Plans to deliver workflows within area of responsibility.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be able to demonstrate broadening C&P experience through exposure to major  projects and construction discipline areas or by developing deeper knowledge in one discipline, typically through having already completed at least one successful substantive assignment.
  • Requires experience of, and demonstrate basic proficiency in, handling all phases of contract/procurement development.
  • Prefer 5 yrs of experience in major purchases, contract negotiations, and the procurement of goods and services for major projects (preferably within Oil & Gas industry).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field.
  • Requires full understanding of C&P tools and techniques and relevant regulatory/legislative requirements within area of work.
  • Proficient understanding of major projects, consulting services, and facilities contracts
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of contract law.
  • Demonstrates full understanding of HSSE requirements and knows how to apply them within C&P context.
  • Requires the ability to multi-task effectively, be a strong team player, detailed oriented and have good inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Proven technical competence in at least one of the C&P disciplines within the oil and gas industry (e.g. in operations this may include materials, logistics).
  • Requires a proven track record of delivery; will be acknowledged as having developed and managed a range of successful contracts and contributed to customers’ success.
  • Requires experience of, and demonstrate basic proficiency in, handling all phases of contract/procurement development for major pipeline projects.
  • Experience of tendering goods & services.
  • Track record of negotiating contracts and agreements, albeit under supervision and guidance, which take account of total cost solutions.
  • Experience of working effectively with contractors/vendors and other stakeholders.

Responsible for assisting the Environmental Department in matters related to environmental permitting, compliance monitoring, reporting, and auditing aspects of the plant operations.  Provides technical assistance to the Environmental department in evaluating current environmental permits and operations.  Provides assistance in developing permit modification applications and ensuring all regulatory requirements are addressed.  Conducts facility audits and coordinates implementation of corrective measures.  Obtains, organizes, and maintains compliance records & ensures compliance with applicable regulations in air, waster and solid waste areas.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides support to the EHS department in day to day plant operations
  • Provides assistance in preparing and maintaining environmental permits for the plant operations.
  • Provide assistance to the EHS department in conducting weekly environmental compliance and safety audits of facility.  The environmental audits must cover compliance topics under air, water and waste disciplines.  Communicates deficiencies to the plant personnel and follows up on implementation of corrective measures.
  • Responsible for coordinating and leading accident investigations relative to non-compliant events.  Responsible for communicating the action items and tracking progress.  Responsible for reporting non-compliance notifications to the appropriate agencies and for maintaining the required documentation and records.
  • Develops and maintains a system for tracking actions and corrective measures.
  • EMS & ISO 14001: Responsible for conducting EMS Steering Committee meetings, documenting the meeting mins, distributing the revisions to Aspects and Impacts.  Responsible for working with the Production and Maintenance departments in developing EMPs to address significant A&Is.
  • Coordinates with plant personnel in collecting compliance records in accordance with the permits.  Organizes and maintains compliance records in accordance with all applicable regulations.
  • Coordinates compliance sampling in accordance with environmental permits.  Provides direction in collecting multimedia sampling, preparing COCs and coordinates with external labs
  • Provides assistance in establishing and tracking sustainable development key indicators.
  • Provides assistance in developing various environmental & safety reports to the state and federal agencies.
  • Oversees field projects to ensure all environmental and safety protocols are followed.
  • Prepares and monitors waste minimization and reduction plans.
  • Coordinates with process engineers on any changes to equipment design or operational procedures.
  • Other environmental & safety duties may be assigned.
  • Serves as the Company’s representative to insure Quality Control and Safety during projects related to environment and safety.
  • Interacts with all departments in coordinating projects and in compliance assurance.
  • Works in writing PR’s for Environmental related expenses.  Checks invoices and processes them for payment with assistance from admin personnel.  Maintains PO and project cost database to track env budget costs.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering; MS Preferred with 4 to 5 years of.
  • 4 to 5 years of industry work experience involving air, water and waste disciplines.
  • Working Knowledge of pertinent state and federal regulations for environmental and safety, including but not limited to RCRA, CERCLA, 30 TAC, OSHA, etc.
  • Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills, strong planning, and organizational abilities to manage the Environmental Department records..
  • Must have excellent working knowledge in software tools at a minimum, but not limited to: MS Word, and Excel, MS Access.
  • Must have working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems, ISO 14001.
  • Must have working knowledge in compliance auditing.

  • Conduct Root Cause investigations of any electrical equipment failures, maintain records of any failed electrical equipment, and generate reports on electrical equipment failures.
  • Monitor labor requirements and make necessary adjustments.
  • Monitor electrical parameters and maintenance of both the HYDRO and PYRO plan
  • Inspect the 69 KV substation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of five years work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required.
  • Several years of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training required. Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • High attention to detail with ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Office.

Our Brookshire, TX client is seeking a Supervisor, Cash Management / AP.

SUMMARY: Supervise AP, Banking, Cash Receipts; including coordination of inter-department issues with Credit-Collections and Procurement; Review of GL accounts with high AP and cash transactions. Assist in reporting of financial statements for company and subsidiaries. Prepare cash forecasts for Corporate Treasury. Responsible for all FI invoices, intercompany reconciliations, bank reconciliations and hedge requests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Supervise AP, Banking and Cash Receipts functions. Coordinate training and cross training matrix.  Maintain training materials as become available.  Maintain and support company policies and controls.

-Coordinate inter-department issues.

-Review and reconcile GL accounts as appropriate.  Review and prepare monthly journal entries as appropriate.  Assist with reporting of corporate financial statements in monthly and year end close as needed.  Meet aggressive closing deadlines.
-Prepare bank reconciliations for SPUSA and SPCAN
-Prepare SPUSA and SPCAN cash forecasts for Corporate Treasury
-Coordinate all hedge requests and payments with Corporate Treasury and record monthly activity
-Participate in all company audits; PWC, corporate and tax audits
-Generate confidential invoices and maintain files and coordination of audits
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
-Performs other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of AP, Banking and Cash Receipts positions.

-Responsibilities include interviewing and training co-workers; appraising performance; employee development, training and problem resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Banking or equivalent  required; CPA or CMA preferred

-3 years of directly related cash management and AP/AR experience required

-Minimum of 5 years as an accountant with supervisory experience required.

-Experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of manufacturing process.

-Foreign currency exchange experience strongly preferred.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office package and 5 years ERP software experience required; SAP strongly preferred.

-Comprehensive knowledge of internal control processes for AP, AR, and cash.

-Requires experience in managing teams with abilities in cash application and accounts receivable accounting principles and practices

-Must be able to analyze processes and controls, plan improvements, drive changes, manage priorities, and have effective communication and writing skills.
