Our West Houston, TX client is seeking a contract QA/QC Specialist.

This position will focus on two key areas: Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC).  Typically, QA services incorporate the evaluation of contract technical terms, procedural support and internal/external audits to the business units.  QC involves the inspection and verification, where applicable, of new equipment,  owned equipment, rental tools and temporary equipment.  Inspection and verification is controlled via SAP coding and Quality plans, which are approved and used to identify where key inspections are to be performed. Job Duties/Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Assists with internal/external audits in accordance with agreed audit schedule on behalf of the business units.
- Assists in coordination of inspections of new and repaired equipment with vendors, suppliers and supply management.
- Coordinates BHA and drill pipe inspections with vendors, suppliers and rig.
- Provides technical support as needed to assist with contract ITT preparation and QA evaluations on behalf of the business units.
- Supports Engineers and Operations to ensure compliance with QP’s and Inspection Test plans.
- Witness the stab up of wellhead, casing hanger and liner hanger running tools and plug set.
- Assists in non-conformance reporting, equipment failure investigations and corrective actions on equipment failures where they occur.
- Issues monthly report to QA/QC Manager summarizing involvement in QA/QC activities.
- Assists in dissemination of lessons learned through Drilling & Completions (D&C) organization

Strategic Processes

- Responsible for QA/QC data storage.

Risk and Cost Control Processes
- Ensures activities follow’s health, safety, environment and social responsibly (HSE&SR) policies and procedures with adherence to all Federal MMS regulations, as well as all state and additional federal regulatory agencies such as EPA, Corp of Engineers, USCG, etc.
- Ensures that service providers comply with company performance and HSE&SR standards.

Team Development Processes
- Interfaces with Supply Chain Services, Well Operations and Well Engineering departments on tendering awards, logistical support and SAP “Plan to Pay” processes. Education/Experience Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent professional certification required and a minimum of 10 years of well-rounded deepwater experience in a similar quality assurance role with an operator or major service vendor.

- Strong communication, organizational, leadership, integration, management and interpersonal skills required.  Must have demonstrated effectiveness in problem solving in a team environment.  Project management experience highly desired. Job Description:

- Machinery experience (assemblies, gear boxes, motors, Etc.)

- Project Experience is a must.

- Perform all necessary calculations and analysis to ensure quality products.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Required.

- 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer with knowledge of machinery.

- Detailed oriented with ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn.

- Must be hands on and not only know how to create the drawings and documentation but be able to work with others to troubleshoot problems and determine solutions to mechanical problems.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in leading IT teams and organizations within the midstream energy industry.
  • Strong and proven technical knowledge and experience in planning and managing IT infrastructure and business applications.
  • Good knowledge and experience of IT core processes, such as project management, service delivery and business alignment.
  • Experience of managing user support processes, third party suppliers and support contracts.

EDUCATION:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works as a Staff Adjuster using Risk Management system to manage an assigned caseload focusing on Guest Relations and Claims Management which includes making decisions about liability/compensability, evaluating losses, and negotiating settlements.
  • Directly investigate each claim through prompt and strategically-appropriate contact with appropriate parties.  Locate and interview guests, employees and/or witnesses to determine liability and claim value, maintain contact with employees and customers, provide information, explain benefits and coordinate claims resolution.
  • Utilize diary management to ensure that all claims are handled timely and managage case back-log. At required time intervals, evaluate liability and manage medical issues and review medical records to make a determination on the cost of the claims.  Process and distribute medical reimbursements.  Verify medical provider bills for reasonable and customary charges.
  • Occasionally, attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations, pre-trials, trials and all other legal proceedings, as needed acting within established professional guidelines and have knowledge of the applicable state laws.
  • Manage the guest relation’s process by entering customer comments into guest relations matters into database, forward comments to assigned department/division/management, and provide regular status updates to customers.
  • Occasionally, assist department/division/management on the investigation of guest matters by contacting facility location and inquiring with management and employees regarding  on the matter.
  • Assist in development of new programs and services as they relate to Guest Relations and Human Resources.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Multiple years experience in handling general liablity claims as an adjuster.
  • Texas adjuster license preferred.
  • Knowledge of Tort and Liability statutes in jurisdictions in some of the states which we operate is required.
  • Skilled in liability and damages analysis and has a thorough understanding of the litigation process, relevant case and statutory law, and have knowledge in litigation management.
  • Claim and/or legal experience and thus the technical expertise to evaluate severe and complex claims.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology recommended.
  • Strong negotiating, presentation skills and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills to provide information in a clear and concise manner to communicate with a variety of individuals and to understand, synthesize, interpret and convey, in a simplified manner, complex data and information to audiences with varying levels of expertise.
