Our North Dallas oil and gas client is looking for a HR MANAGER to join their growing team on a contract to possible hire basis.

Requirements include:

- Connection with the business, preferably within the oil and gas industry

- MUST have a minimum of 8 years of HR experience; with at least 5 being in a management capacity.  Minimum of 2 years in the oil and gas field

- Must have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR and a Master’s degree is a plus

- Lead investigations and represent the company in relevant legal matters relating to unemployment; workers compensation; investigations; civil suits resulting from claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, etc.

- Ensure Company is in compliance with the applicable federal and local employment regulations.  Develop and perform routine compliance audits.

- Partner with the training and benefits team to train and advise
segment management in hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, sexual harassment and other related HR topics.

- Lead the company-wide recruiting effort; primarily in the oil and gas arena

- Create a coaching environment for employees and managers.

- Coordinate company sponsored employee training events.

- Perform other duties as assigned by taking initiative to evolve the role as the business needs necessitate, including the ability to effectively supervise other members of the HR team.

Job Objective:

Ensure proper booking of operational business transactions (especially fixed asset transactions) into the company’s general and subsidiary ledgers.   Assist in all aspects of accounting for the company’s daily operations by participating in monthly closings, accounts payable and receivable processing, preparation of financial statements, reconciliations and maintenance of financial schedules and subsidiary ledgers.

Job Description:

Participate in the authorization for expenditure process.  Activities include such things as receiving a request from engineering or operations, documenting the request in the appropriate systems, working with finance to determine budget status of the request, routing the request to receive required approvals, setting up unique fixed-asset system identifiers so that appropriate charges can be accumulated and identified, depreciated, etc.

Develop and maintain and improve fixed asset sub ledger; prepare internal fixed asset reports, monthly PP&E roll-forwards and account reconciliations, investigate and resolve general ledger/sub-ledger anomalies

Monitor project costs for asset construction to inform management and accounting/finance peers of project status as compared to budget

Create and maintain fixed asset process to ensure proper control of inventories and fixed assets

Participate in periodic physical inventory counts/verifications; prepare documentation to adjust booked balances to verified balances

Work with engineering/operations to develop monthly accounting accruals for capital (fixed asset) expenditures and operating expenditures

Prepare and post monthly depreciation for all fixed assets

Propose, prepare and upload monthly journal entries related to work in progress and fixed assets

Participate in periodic operations/engineering meetings to ensure that accounting/finance is appropriately booking transactions and planning for upcoming expenditures.  Develop rapport with operations/engineering staff so that you become the finance/accounting source for variance explanations, etc.

Work with accounts payable department to ensure proper general and sub ledger coding of capital and operational expenditures

Provide support to internal and external auditors examining fixed assets and the fixed asset/capital expenditure process

Work with other areas of accounting (as well as finance, engineering and operations) to ensure appropriate use of systems and information

Develop, implement and communicate process improvements made through process optimization and adaptation of technology.

Participate with the finance/accounting team to ensure fulfillment of team objectives.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting; CPA or CMA desirable

Skilled at understanding basic GAAP especially as related to fixed asset/capital project accounting

3+ years experience with an emphasis on cost / fixed-asset/ capital project accounting is REQUIRED

Oil, natural gas, or energy industry experience is REQUIRED, no exceptions

Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of products.  Intermediate/Advanced MS Excel skills essential.

Strong teamwork skills

Strong analytical and presentation skills (must be able to summarize information for upper management review).

Ability to interact calmly and confidently with peers and a diverse group of engineering and operations colleagues.

Self-motivated individual with ability to function in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision and direction.

1. Business development
- Develop and grow personal client base by marketing FSG services for temporary, temp to hire and direct hire staffing solutions.
- Market to clients via telephone as well as conduct in-person meetings with key hiring managers and senior-level executives, for the purpose of promoting and selling FSG services to prospective clients and building on existing client relationships.
- Negotiate bill rates and conversion fees with clients.

2. Networking/Marketing
- Responsible for solidifying Frontline’s presence in the local marketplace through consistent participation in networking organizations and events.

3. Account Management

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Prepares and coordinates filing of permit applications normally associated with the Midstream pipeline business. Assures that required local, state, and federal regulatory compliance is documented, and that required reports/filings are made within prescribed deadlines.  Acts as liaison between the Company and federal, state, and local officials.  Position reports to Director of Regulatory Affairs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare /file for regulatory permits
  • Coordinate permitting and compliance activities with Company consultants
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and permits under RRC, TCEQ, LDEQ, LDNR,  PHMSA, USACG, FERC, EPA, and any other regulating body.
  • Communicate regulatory compliance status of facilities to management
  • Interface with federal, state and local agencies / authorities as needed.
  • Manage facility regulatory compliance data gathering and filing systems (electronic and hard copy)
  • Provide rule/regulatory interpretation and assessment for Company.
  • Provide regulatory/ environmental project support as needed
  • Assist with regulatory/environmental agency inspections and investigations
  • Develop, implement and monitor regulatory compliance system

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a degree in Engineering, preferably with an emphasis in the Environmental sector
  • 4-10 years of experience as an in the Engineer in the environmental sector
