REQUIRED SKILLS:

The successful candidate will possess the knowledge and experience to accomplish the following engineering tasks:

Design of specialized computer controlled robotic systems and other mechanical devices.

Development of all general arrangement drawings required for product design and manufacturing (customer drawings).

Proficiency with 3D modeling using SolidWorks is a must. Again, proficiency must include the ability to create complete fabrication details (2D & 3D).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience working with the process of machining parts is a plus.

Experience with Mold and Mold Design (aluminum, plastic, silicone, etc.) is a plus.

Experience with the design and operation of high temperature systems such as burners, gasifiers, etc., is a major advantage. Knowledge of burner systems, refractory materials, and combustion/gasification processes is highly desired.

Experience with ceramics and/or ceramic material is also a plus.

This position will give the employee the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the manufacturing process.  The work environment is light manufacturing.  We are involved in highly specialized projects and therefore products are more detailed, but low volume.  Work attire is casual (khakis/jeans and a polo shirt).

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

This individual will have responsibility for the organization’s accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, the preparation, promotion and interpretation of financial reports for management and external groups. The Accountant will direct and have overall responsibility for general and property accounting, internal controls, forecast, financial reporting, budgetary controls, payroll and all insurance matters.

The Accountant will be responsible for the development and enforcement of the Company’s internal controls and the enhancement of controls where necessary.  This leader will be required to work with the team to generate timely and consistent financial and management reports on a consistent basis.

Responsible for analyzing and appraising operating results in terms of costs, budgets, financial trends, and increased profit opportunities.

Develops accounting policies to comply with generally accepted accounting principles, tax requirements, and management reporting requirements.

Assumes a lead role in development of operating and capital budgets. Exercises accounting control to insure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed amounts authorized without proper approval.

Interprets operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the organization and makes specific recommendations for cost reduction and/or profit improvement.

Assumes responsibility for accounting classifications of all expenditures and documents.

Responsible for establishing formal internal control policies and procedures.

Directs the preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements, including the preparation of charts and graphs showing progress, conditions and results in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Performs other related duties as assigned by senior management.

EDUCATION

An undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, and/or business administration is required. A minimum of 5 years accounting and financial experience is required.  Excellent skills are required in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and written/verbal communication.  In addition, experience with MYOB financial software or QuickBooks Enterprise would be a plus.  A CPA, MBA, or manufacturing experience would also be a plus, but is not a pre-requisite for candidacy.

Job Description :

Plans, implements and directs all aspects of disaster recovery operations.  Oversees an international organization’s operational policies, objectives and initiatives supporting field emergency recovery operations.

  • Plan, direct, coordinate and supervise geographically dispersed Operations Specialist and field teams during disaster response deployments.
  • Plans and executes an annual program of training and equipment preparedness reviews to maintain operational deployment readiness.
  • Provides senior level consultation to government, business, medical and educational organizations for disaster recovery programs.  Coordinates and negotiate with major corporations, international agencies and governments.  Leads these organizations toward the accomplishment of a common goal.
  • Through research and practical experience, develops new standards of support for recovery and victim identification for disasters and catastrophic events.
  • Develops and writes an annual plan of action for activities to be conducted globally, preparing an annual budget to support planned activities and be fiscally responsible for appropriate expenditure of funds.

Responsible for managing teams conducting recovery operations during deployments and for assisting other departments as requested with training, marketing and sales of companies services.  Required to be available/on-call 24 hours a day 365 days a year.  Must be able to travel 25%-40% of the year for periods of up to three weeks.  Travel includes domestic as well as international travel.  Requires working with biologically or chemical contaminates at times.  Able to work well under stress and in a team environment and lift 50-75 pounds.

Requires a minimum of:

  • Bachelor Degree, Masters Degree preferred
  • Ability to produce worksheets, documents and presentations using Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • 5-10 years of experience in emergency/disaster responses, forensic science, law enforcement or mortuary field
  • Logistical management experience desirable
