Summary:

Performs inspection of parts, fabrications, purchased items and or finished assemblies per reviews sub-contractors procedure, radiographic film, and reports; and maintains department records and procedures for current code requirements.  Position functions independently with occasional guidance from the Quality Control Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Performs examination of parts, fabrications, purchased items and finished assemblies. 

Performs final visual inspection under the quality auditing program to meet compliance with customer specifications.

Communicate with manufacturing personnel and sets up parts.

Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.

Assistance with Quality Books.

Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards.

Performs other duties as necessary.

Requirements:

  • ASNT Certification Level I or Level II, preferred.
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Ability to read blueprints, to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Versatile in all aspects of inspection techniques
  • Working knowledge of ASME, AWS and relative codes, preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication, organizational skills, good math and shop trigonometry skills.
  • High School Diploma required.

Texas total nonfarm employment was up by 20,000 jobs in December, representing the addition of 230,800 jobs since December 2009.   At 8.3 percent for December, the Texas unemployment rate remains well below the 9.4 percent U.S. unemployment rate for December. Annual job growth in Texas is also strong at 2.3 percent, as compared to the U.S. growth rate of 0.9 percent.

“The Texas labor force expanded for the fourth consecutive month, currently at more than 12.2 million individuals,” said TWC Commissioner Representing the Public Andres Alcantar. “Job growth in the Goods-Producing industries was positive, with annual growth rates of 14.8 percent in Mining and Logging, 5.8 percent in Construction and 3.4 percent in Manufacturing.”
The Midland Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) had the lowest December unemployment rate in the state at 4.9 percent. The Amarillo MSA had the second lowest unemployment rate in December at 5.3 percent, followed by the Lubbock MSA at 5.8 percent (not seasonally adjusted).

SUMMARY

Our Nashville, TN client is searching for an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist on a temp to hire basis.

Responsibilities:

Perform Data Entry

Maintain filing system.

Maintain/order office supplies.

Handle incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate individual.

Compose routine emails, reports, and other materials.

Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports using programs such as Powerpoint, Word, and Excel.

Prepare travel arrangements when necessary.

Work with other administrative staff members as needed.

Requirements:

At least 5 years experience as an Administrative or Executive Assistant.

Proficient computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Organized, self starter, able to work with limited direction.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Polished and professional.

HS Diploma, some college preferred.
