Our Plano, TX is seeking a contract to hire Support Services Technician- Tier II.  This person will be working with customers on software related problem issues.

Responsibilities:

Evaluates system potential by testing compatibility of new programs with existing programs.

Achieves computer system objectives by gathering pertinent data; identifying and evaluating options; recommending a course of action.

Places software into production by loading software into computer; entering necessary commands.

Maximizes use of software by training users; interpreting instructions; answering questions.

Sometimes prepares reference for users by writing instructions.

Maintains historical records, document software changes and revisions.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

5+ years of experience with software related support.

Degree in related filed for Support Software Tech, MIS or CS.

Multi-faced and fast paced.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Must be detail oriented and have ability to convey information back to customer at their knowledge level.

Outgoing personality, friendly and courteous.

Prompt and professional appearance.

Must have skills in the following areas:  Problem Solving, Software Maintenance, Presenting Technical Information, Process Improvement, Software Maintenance, Vendor Relationships, Software Performance and/or Database Performance Tuning
