Our Plano, TX client is seeking a Medical Biller with Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care Facility experience.

Duties:

  • Responsible for Medicare billing and collection activities.
  • Assures proper accounting procedures and controls are followed.
  • Analyzes collections.  Assesses level of bad debt reserves, reviews and recommends write-offs.
  • Ensures procedures are followed to achieve an accurate and timely closing at month end.
  • Ensures all required records are maintained and submitted, as appropriate, in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Requirements:

  • Medicare, Medicaid, Managed care (Insurance) billing for Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long term care facility (CCRC) experience is REQUIRED.
  • Experience with data entry and collections.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a small accounting group as the sole medical biller.
  • Must be detail oriented, conscientious with strong work ethic.
  • Contract to possible hire, Monday-Friday, 8-4:30
