Position Profile:

The Accounting Specialist’s primary role is to process payroll, reconcile bank statements, ensure that all job costs and general ledger postings are complete and accurate.  Additionally, this position will work closely with the Controller to learn higher level accounting tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Process semi-monthly payroll and cut payroll checks
  • Process and pay all payroll taxes
  • Reconcile bank statements on a monthly basis
  • Upload positive pay information to the bank
  • Review all completed customer files for accuracy
  • Calculate commissions
  • Answer and return calls promptly
  • Research data to determine factors required to resolve accounting issues
  • Produce various monthly reports for managers
  • Assist office staff as necessary

Position Requirements:

  • Completion of 3 college level accounting classes, including bookkeeping, payroll and intermediate accounting, at a minimum, is required; BS in Accounting preferred

This position will have primary responsibility of record keeping and financial reporting for several private equity investment partnership clients and will report to a team of fund controllers.  The senior fund accountant will review, audit and approve the work of cash operations team and the financial reporting analyst team.  The senior fund accountant must analyze investment transactions and valuations and apply judgment to determine the proper accounting and classification.  The position is a client-facing role and the senior fund accountant must have client service skills.  The senior fund accountant must read and understand the partnership agreement and advise the client as to the application of its terms to the financial reporting and the income and expense allocations.  The senior fund accountant will be responsible for understanding and applying current accounting principles to the accounting and financial reporting of investment partnerships and advising the client of the proper application of such principles.  The senior fund accountant will be responsible for supervising and reviewing the work of fund accountants, as well as training entry level fund accountants.  Experienced senior fund accountants will have engagement review responsibilities for financial statements, tax filings and other management reports.

Responsibilities:

Job Summary:
Accountable and responsible for providing support for the following areas: HRIS, payroll and benefits administration, recordkeeping, and HR administration.

Responsibilities:
Perform record keeping and payroll processing activities for hourly, salaried, full time and part time employees.
Maintain, check, and audit time and attendance records for compliance with established standards.

Duties:

  • A/R and collections

SUMMARY
The Sr. Systems Engineer reports to the IT Service Delivery Manager and will be primarily responsible for the escalation resolution and advanced troubleshooting of Windows Server 2003/2008 hardware, operating system and application issues.  Additionally, the Sr. Systems Engineer will have the ability to build, understand, and troubleshoot basic network configurations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Provide advanced support service on escalated tickets by identifying and resolving technical problems working with team members to resolve server-related hardware and operation system issues
  • Serve as a final internal escalation point for all Windows Server and Application Issues, by engaging appropriate vendors/manufacturers (e.g. Microsoft, HP) after deploying all existing skills and research abilities
  • Bring all advanced user issues to full resolution in a timely manner in accordance with contract Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Design, engineer, configure, assemble and support server hardware (HP, Dell, SuperMicro) based on the needs of the environment and demands on the server.
  • Design, engineer and implement all aspects of a Windows network; prepare high-level executive summary as well as complete, detailed equipment manifests
  • Design, engineer, install, configure, and maintain on-site backup hardware and software systems that complete mission critical nightly backups.
  • Engineer, install, configure, and administer / maintain all aspects of Windows 2003/2008 Operating Systems, including Active Directory (Advanced), Terminal Services, Exchange Server, MSSQL Server, Permissions/Security, and other server-based applications
  • Create knowledgebase articles to explain advanced problems and recommended solutions

SKILLS

  • Strong written communication skills for updating tickets
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to make quick, logically sound decisions based on user needs, environment capabilities,  and technical knowledge
  • Extensive experience installing, supporting, troubleshooting and recovering server hardware issues including RAID arrays

  • Experience with Microsoft Server consolidation, clustering, and network architecture projects
  • Hands-on experience installing, supporting, troubleshooting, upgrading and migrating Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007; (2010 experience desirable)
  • Extensive experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting Enterprise backup systems on Windows Servers such as Symantec BackupExec, CommVault or Microsoft Data Protection Management
  • Experience with VMware (vSphere) and Citrix XenApp or XenDesktop
  • Experience with application of virtualization and storage solutions
  • Experience with basic functionality of MSSQL including maintenance plans and backups
  • Expertise in administration of common SmartPhones functionality (iPhone, BlackBerry, Android) in an enterprise environment
  • Working knowledge of Cisco network support and troubleshooting (CCNA desirable)

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years supporting Windows servers; service desk experience desired
  • Post secondary technical education
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Certification
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and participate in a weekly rotation with 24 hour responsibility

  • Willingness to attend position-related seminars, classes and testing to complete certification
