Our Brookshire, TX client is seeking an Accountant/ Financial Analyst. This client offers an excellent benefits package and a great work environment.

Description:
Perform monthly closing activities for two subsidiaries that comply with general accounting standards under GAAP and IFRS. Prepare special purpose reports for headquarters or government on a consolidated basis. Reconcile accounts to the general ledger on a periodic basis. Prepare and file accounting reports with HQ and related business units. Accounting department liaison for cost center managers. Work on projects as assigned. Meet aggressive month end close deadlines. Provide vacation coverage as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Verify accuracy of data entered into G/L accounts, reconcile G/L assigned accounts, reconcile inter-company accounts, maintain allocations/assessments in SAP
Prepares special purpose reports for HQ and governmental purposes
Prepare bank reconciliations for multiple banks
Maintain financial statement per GAAP/IFRS rules.
Liaison with cost center managers
Projects as assigned
Preparation of ye arend audit work papers.
Responsible for preparing monthly journal entries as required and maintaining recurring journal entries.
Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards
Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3 -5 years of directly related experience (in consolidations and multi-entity accounting and in a manufacturing environment).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Outlook
SAP experience required.
Knowledge of current GAAP/IFRS requirements and rulings.
Foreign currency exchange experience preferred.

The Client Account Specialist will focus on high-level customer service both internally and externally.  The position supports producers in a variety of tasks and requires the ability to handle multiple job functions simultaneously. The Client Account Specialist is expected to take initiative in order to service the customer in the best possible manner, provide general administrative services to ensure policy compliance and facilitate processing of essential policy related documents.

Responsibilities:
Manage workflow between producers, clients and various Credit Insurance Carriers and produce necessary documentation with a focus on organization and prompt response.
Provide high level customer service to internal and external clients by processing new and renewal applications quickly and efficiently.  Train clients as necessary with regards to reporting requirements, on line systems available from their carrier and other policy related requirements.  Facilitate responses from carriers and producers as needed to provide answers to compliance related questions.  As necessary, tactfully notify clients of payments due to carriers and company.
Input requests the same day received.  Search for customer history, contact banks for references and contact the insured as required for additional information necessary to expedite the processing of the requests, as needed.
Provide excellent External Client Service by answering inbound calls utilizing a customer service orientation and to assist in all areas of customer service to ensure policy compliance.  Additionally, reach out to customers via phone calls on a regular basis to ensure relationships are both maintained and nurtured.  This position also requires an individual who desires to periodically visit clients with producer to establish, maintain and nurture the relationship with client.
Provide Internal Client Service by working jointly with his/her assigned agents to develop a team approach for achieving the gross written revenue objectives; orchestrate mailings to prospective credit insurance prospects; and developing or filtering prospect pools for the agents.
Utilize with proficiency Microsoft Office Suite of programs and multiple internal IT systems and multiple carrier systems to maintain accurate, consistent, up to date files.  Purge outdated information on a continual basis.
Annually, as part of the company’s ongoing process improvement goals, identify, initiate, develop, coordinate and lead a process improvement initiative that will make a direct and positive impact on the efficiency of the CAS group and/or the company.
Some minor travel required for client visits and corporate events, less than 10%

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience in a customer service focused environment.
College degree desired, but not required.
Highly computer literate and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of Products. Proven ability to manage multiple work functions in high volume settings.

Our Nashville TN client is looking for a Bilingual Collections Representative on a contract to hire basis.

Job Summary:   The Collections Rep is responsible for several functions involving of a customer account from contacting them to ensure correct set up, to helping them to resolve any problems and questions, to contacting customers to collect payment on their account. 

Work  Activities:
Make at least 1700 outgoing calls each month
Help setup accounts for Internet and electronic processing.  Communicate new products and features to new and existing customers
Work returned payments and take necessary measures to collect on them
Work the 85% of credit line report with the Supervisor of C & C to determine whether a customer needs more money on the account or if the account should be placed on hold until payment is received
Answer incoming customer calls and any other calls made directly into the Collections dept.
Reconcile accounts and work out payment plans if necessary
Monitor the accounts and determine whether an account has the correct credit line in accordance with usage.  If the usage is more than determined contact Supervisor to discuss a possible credit line increase.  If the credit line is drastically more than their usage the supervisor should be notified to possibly lower the credit line.
Handle any tasks given by the Supervisor or other co-workers as needed.

Assists Purchasing Manager by using high level knowledge of products and end user requirements in purchasing and distributing raw materials, equipment, machinery, supplies and contracted services within the organization by performing the following duties.  Coordinates the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization with other personnel in the Purchasing Department; improves and develops procedures, systems and planning methods for the department.  Reports directly to the Purchasing Manager and works with all departments and district locations on a global basis.

Implement online standard work procedures and documentation for Purchasing Department.

Fully implement Quality Performance Metric system for all vendors and suppliers.

Implement forecast model, stocking plan, and safety stocking (reorder point etc…)

Assist with purchasing raw materials, purchased parts, and MRO.  Prepare and issue purchase orders and change notices when necessary.

Inspects and grades or appraises various commodities, durable goods, or other merchandise offered, to determine value and yield.  Analyze statistical data and buy specified parts and/or other technical purchases.

Verifies quantity and quality of stock received from manufacturer and/or vendors.

Interview vendor sales personnel and gain completed Vendor Visit Report (Form 398) if necessary.

Visit vendor plant and/or office locations as needed.

Authorizes payment of invoices and/or return of merchandise and negotiate with vendors on inventory, pricing and delivery to assure timely delivery of goods at the best possible prices.

Input markers information on main frame, such as price mark-ups or mark-downs, manufacturer number, for inventory.

Inspects exchanged or refunded merchandise by resolving problems of quality, shipping damage, deliveries, and over-and-under shipments of orders.

Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports, while keeping current on trends in the supply market.

Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy and resolve problems with vendors relating to shipping damage, delayed arrivals, deviation in size or shipment, etc.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five or more years related experience as senior buyer/planner; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must continue education by attending seminars and professional organization meetings and/or training programs during the year or when directed by the Purchasing Manager.

Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

Designs work flows and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity within the department.

Develops and coordinates workable project plans; Communicates changes and progress of those plans.

Understands business implications of decisions and displays orientation to profitability; Demonstrates knowledge of market and competition and aligns work with strategic goals.

Seeks increased responsibilities and strives to increase productivity; Prioritizes and plans work activities by taking initiative and evaluating tasks.

Our Southeast Houston, TX client is seeking an Accounts Payable Processor. The Accounts Payable Processor is responsible for processing accounts payable transactions for payment, reviewing invoices for accuracy, and resolving invoice issues with the field and corporate.

Job Description:

Review payable invoices for accuracy and match to the purchase order & receiver submitted for authorization of purchase.

Correspond or communicate with vendors when necessary to correct or modify invoices received.

Resolve escalated issues with vendors.

Code payable invoices with correct general ledger codes to ensure proper entry into computer.

Batch pre-coded invoices by adding invoices together on calculator, enter into computer, and run related reports.

Balance with calculator tape to ensure accuracy of posting.

Update the balanced postings to the general ledger.

On a monthly basis, produce all reports for month-end processing to ensure an accurate accounting of all invoices outstanding at month-end.

Generate month-end accruals in accordance with specific month-end deadlines.

Balance reports with the corresponding general ledger accounts.

Oversee the filing of all invoices and check to properly maintain an orderly and accurate filing system.

Assist with the data entry of general journal entries when it is requested or required for balancing account.
