Our Dallas, TX client is seeking an Administrative / HR Assistant on a temp to hire basis for their non-profit company. This opportunity will be Part-time (25 hours a week) for approximately 5 months, then once permanently hired with the company this will become a full time opportunity.

The Human Resources Assistant provides direct support to the Director of Human Resources & Business Operations.  Must have strong communication skills and demonstrate professional demeanor at all times, ensuring accuracy and professionalism in all forms of written and verbal communications.  The highest levels of integrity and good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters and in all aspects of work are required.  Attention to detail and computer proficiency including Excel and/or Access, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word Office This position reports to the Director of Human Resources & Business Operations.

Duties:
Ensure insurance policy renewals on organization’s vehicles are completed in a timely manner.
Conduct criminal background checks for new hires and every two years on current staff, consulting with H R Director on all “hits”.
Draft for approval and post position openings with approved advertising sources.
Conduct new hire orientations as required.
Reconcile Employee Leave Requests in a timely and accurate manner.
Reconcile monthly invoices including billing for cell phones and insurance and prepare summary spreadsheets on deductions and mileage for payroll.
Work directly with insurance company on billing errors, enrollments and cancellations
Ensure timely and accurate filing of forms/responses to TWC, Workers Comp, & other regulatory agencies.
Knowledge of insurance policies, co-pays, benefits, deductibles, costs, and explanation of benefits.
Ensure timely preparation and mailing of COBRA forms to terminated employees.
Research vendor invoices as necessary.
Provide primary support for the telephone system:  Programming and ensure system is fully operational with appropriate message and current staff information at all times.
Respond to employee related external inquiries in an accurate and timely manner, including those related to past employment or credit applications.
Establish and maintain a log of computer network and server problems & repairs, a hardware and software inventory listing and a record of emerging and replacement needs.
Assist with planning and implementation of annual staff holiday party: Research cost effective venues, contact vendors for donations and assist with event preparation, set-up and tear down.
Work with the immediate supervisor to organize semi-annual staff development that includes legal counsel presentation on such matters as safety, computer usage, ethics, and conduct.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned from time-to-time.

Requirements:
2 years supporting a Human Resources & Business Operations.
Maintain a business professional code of dress and attitude.
College degree preferred.
Confidentiality is a must.
Must have exceptional communication and telephone etiquette skills.
Strong MS Office skills, Excel, Power Point

Our Houston TX client, located in the Galleria area, is in need of a Trading Assistant.

This position will support the trading department and will be responsible for administrative and support functions, including reconciling trades, manual inputting of trades, supplying trade-related information, responding to corporate actions, as well as set up of new supplier or customer documentation.
Manage the control of contract numbers for trades
Oversee document retention of trades
Enter trades into trade book
Develop a tracking system for monitoring trade activity
Assist in PnL reporting and compiling reports

Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Have some previous experience within a commodities/energy trading firm or on a commodities/energy trading desk.  Familiar with a variety of the alternative energy concepts, practices, and procedures. Ability to multitask. Will assist with projects like putting together processes for evolving offices.

Our San Antonio, TX client is seeking a contract Lead Designer – Mechanical/Piping professional.  This is a 3-4 month long assignment.                                  

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the production and coordination of Mechanical/Piping (P&ID, Piping, Civil & Structural) drawings and Engineering Design/Project Completion (as-built) services deliverables for plant construction projects for all Gas Pipeline facilities.
This position involves the oversight of internal design & drafting personnel and third party engineering/design firms with respect to initial setup, ongoing execution, completion of design and as-built services throughout the plant project lifecycle with lead responsibilities in quality control as well as assistance in the development and adherence to departmental drafting standards.
This position requires an employee that has a in-depth technical background associated with all of the different mechanical/piping systems (i.e. major/minor gas, lube oil, jacket water, cooling water, fuel gas, etc.) at all natural gas facilities including compressor, meter & regulator, storage and process.
Incumbent must posses an in-depth understanding of maintenance capital, compressor expansion, and metering projects. This includes services pertaining to design, drawing and information deliverables for bid packages, construction packages and final as-built documents.
Duties also include drawings generation from field sketches provided by field operations or project engineering. Also to facility as-built drawings from red-lined construction information provided by project engineering to complete the life cycle of expansion projects.
Specific administrative duties include progress reporting, identifying and documenting new methods to enhance current departmental processes, project man-hour estimating along with other miscellaneous design work activities related to performing as a project lead.
Position shall also serve as a departmental contact to provide archived historical drawings in print or electronic form as requested by operations, project engineering or third party engineering firms.
Individual will perform field audit trips as required during construction to ensure quality red-line mark-up information is collected and transposed to “Field Check” sets enabling as-built drafting process is less problematic.

Qualifications:
Minimum 20 years engineering design experience in the natural gas industry.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two year degree in Applied Science or an Engineering related field from an accredited college or equivalent education and experience preferred.
Ability to create an as-built package of Mechanical/Piping drawings that include plot plans, piping area plans, P&ID’s and piping isometrics and civil layouts.
Ability to work as a team member with project engineering, third party engineering/design personnel and other designers and drafters.
Minimum of 10 years experience directing internal design drafting personnel and temporary contractors.
Minimum of 15 years direct work experience in AutoCad (AutoCAD 2004 or later) CADD applications. Cad works experience preferred.
Experience in records management environment, preferably FileNet storage system.
