Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Operational Supervisor for our Watford City, ND client on a direct hire basis.
General Job Functions:
Supervises, directs, and coordinates employees and/or contractors engaged in Operational activities for oil gathering and oil trucking facilities. These activities include, but are not limited to, SAP integration of new equipment/facilities, operating and maintenance procedure development, operations and maintenance personnel hiring, supervision and training project/engineering support to Operations. Safety and regulatory/code compliance of facilities and coordinating post-startup support to Operations and Maintenance teams.
Summary of Position:
Maintain close communication and coordination of activities with the Producer Clients and Costar management
Coordinate daily activities, including employee work schedules, and supervise Operational activities for pipeline and new projects
Selection and monitoring performance of contractors involved in Operational activities
Monitor daily key performance indicators to continuously improve the pipeline measurement and operations activities
Monitor and report Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost of Operational activities to meet overall project goals
Coordinate and participate in continuous improvement activities for the pipeline
Collaborate with management and business development to define, procure and confirm delivery of new facilities and equipment
Actively participate in front end engineering design reviews, milestone design reviews, HazIds, HazOps and Pre-startup Safety Reviews
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in oil production, gas gathering, gas processing or oil transportation facilities or associated services
Minimum 1- 2 years of supervisory experience
High School graduate with technical degree or some college
Effective interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and influencing skills
Experience in safety issues related to the oil and gas industry
Familiarity with all elements of OSHA Process Safety Management regulations
Familiarity with DOT requirements governing oil pipelines
The ability to motivate, coach, and lead a diverse work team
Proficiency in most standard computer applications
Strong oil handling understanding and ability to read P&ID’s, PFD’s, Electrical one-lines, Isometric drawings and understand technical documentation related to oil equipment
Critical eye for continuous improvement and cost reduction
Overall Project Execution understanding a plus
