Our Houston, TX client located in the Galleria is seeking an Accountant to join their team due to the exponential growth of their company on a Direct Hire basis.
This is a progressive, international company and the ideal candidate is a professional that is capable of driving that growth through further development of their accounting operations. If you are looking for the opportunity to own a process, affect change, and truly impact the bottom line then this may be the position for you. In this role, you would manage the full accounting process including but not limited to:
Primary Duties:
Timely customer invoicing, collections and recording in accounting system
Accounts Payable, travel & expense processes, occasional reporting and analysis
Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts
Prepare month end revenue accrual and handle month end close processes
Ensure proper revenue recognition and reconcile accounts
Prepare monthly management reports
Prepare detailed analysis for monthly review meetings
Assist in annual budget process and monthly P/L forecasting
Work with Payroll and Assist CEO and Controller and perform ad-hoc projects/assignments as required
Requirements:
BA in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of accounting experience
Experience with Sage software is a plus
Familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
Ability to work independently
Personable, detail-oriented, with strong analytical abilities
Strategic thinker, self starter, and works well with minimal direction
