Our Irving, TX client is seeking an accounting professional with 5 to 10 years experience in either a corporate environment or in public accounting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Controller will be responsible for supervision of the purchases and disbursements, billing and collections and payroll functions as well as preparation of monthly financial statements. The individual should be able to monitor and maintain an effective internal control environment. Financial statement analysis will be required, but is not the most premium skill. The individual will prepare, review and analyze complex accounting records and transactions in order to project results, such as impact on financial statement.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA a plus but not required
Previous supervisory experience
Public Accounting
5-10 years experience
Multiple location experience
May be required to train accounting clerks on their job functions.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, including internal control systems, cost accounting, and general ledger
Ability to gather, organize and analyze data
Ability to communicate effectively with team and upper management
