Description:

As a member of the team, the Benefit Administrator focuses primarily on continuing to learn the employee benefits industry, managing client issue resolution, and maintaining employee eligibility for specific clients.  Additional responsibilities include quality assurance tasks, assisting with client implementations, renewals and other special projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand business and plan design requirements
  • Document administrative processes and procedures
  • Work with Account Executive on all administrative tasks for implementations, renewals and ongoing administration
  • Manage, review and monitor ongoing client issues and deliverables
  • Test and quality review client specific documents
  • Develop and implement best practices
  • Review documentation of procedures and identify process improvements
  • Train other members of the benefit team
  • Provide feedback and developmental coaching to other team members
  • Build strong relationships with clients and business partners
  • Identify solutions for changing needs in market place
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Lead daily team meeting at a scheduled time to review outstanding issues and make an action plan to resolve them
  • During daily team meeting, review escalated issues and manage client expectations as a team
  • Be aware of all client/carrier issues
  • Update HUB
  • Follow Escallation Protocol
    • Any outstanding client or carrier issue greater than 3 days old will be escalated to Account Executive
  • Delegate tasks to the team
  • Work with the team to crosstrain job responsibilities
  • Follow Service Requirement Protocol
    • Phone calls must be returned same business day
    • General emails must be answered within 24 hours
    • Escallated emails must be answered immediately
  • Resolutions Time Frame Protocol
    • Payroll issues must be resolved same business day
    • File issues must be resolved 24-48 hours

Requirements:

2+ years of experience as a Benefits Administrator.

Experience with HRIS system required.

Payroll experience is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
