Frontline Source Group  – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Business Development Coordinator for Houston, TX client, located in the Galleria area, for a contract to possible hire opportunity.

The Business Development Coordinator works closely with the Business Development Managers and Director of Business Development, and liaises with other teams, to advance the organization’s strategic objectives. This will include:
Providing administrative support for practice and industry group meetings, conferences and client development events;
Managing the Business Development database and research tools;
Maintaining the database and practice group web pages; and
Support efforts to promote attendance at meetings and events
Create meeting web pages and link all meeting materials to the website
Draft event communications, liaising with the Marketing team to ensure consistent message and branding
Set up online registration and track registration status weekly
Create meeting materials include agendas, participant lists and name badges
Compile and ship meeting materials for distribution at meetings
Provide event planning assistance as needed, including negotiating hotel rates, planning group dinners and excursions and creating spreadsheets to track expenses for large events
Collect agendas, AV requirements and speaker bios from each practice group planning to meet at the conference
Track registration status and keep Business Development Managers apprised of attendance
Compile and ship any materials needed by the practice groups at the conference
Design web pages for new groups of users, making recommendations to ensure a user friendly and intuitive layout
Manage access by creating user groups, sending invitations and tracking responses and patterns of use
Field members’ technical questions and requests to add additional content to web pages
When requested undertake focused research about: the plans of multinational companies; movements and profiles of key business decision makers in multinational companies; and the activities of member firms and other law firms
Negotiate renewal rates with vendors early, ensuring costs are kept in line with anticipated spend
Set up guide questionnaires and send requests for participation to initiate the project
Proactively track responses and work with the Business Development Managers to encourage submissions
Compile and edit responses into the document template
Create a webpage for the guide and ensure all participating jurisdictions are included
Compile and organize periodic updates to each guide

Required Skills:
Advanced Microsoft Office skills including the ability to use Mail Merge, PowerPoint and Excel
HTML and basic web design experience
Proficiency working with database and survey systems
Strong written and verbal communication style, including strong grammar and error-free correspondence
Ability to multi-task, balance priorities and support multiple team members
Sound judgment when editing, with the ability and initiative to make basic suggestions regarding content and formatting
Strong attention to detail and pride in finished work product
Polished professional presence
Event management experience is helpful, but not required
