Our West Houston, TX client, located in the Galleria area, is in need of a Communication & Events Manager for a contract period covering for someone out on leave.
Excellent opportunity for a Marketing professional to expand their current skill set. This position is scheduled to last through February.
This position is responsible for publishing a monthly magazine/newsletter, working with a Social Media Director, working with a Graphic Artist, management and maintenance of an internal website, blog entries using WordPress, and planning large events on a monthly basis.
Must have excellent writing skills and be able to write 200 to 300 word articles
Must have experience planning and large events (contacting hotels, audio/visual, meals, etc)
Very strong computer skills
Experience using blogging software such as WordPress
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or similar
3+ years in a similar role
Must be able to interview and start in the month of October
Must be able to commit to working through February
