Our Fort Worth, TX client is seeking a Construction Payroll Specialist.  The job of the Payroll Specialist is to ensure payrolls are successfully processed and reporting and accounting related to payroll are created and implemented in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll for exempt and nonexempt employees; reviewing, approving, and reconciling payroll data for timely and accurate payment.
Proficient with in-house software and experienced with downloading and transmitting report details.
Accurately calculate and complete entry for additional compensation such as auto allowances, per diems, and adjustments.
Complete and distribute Certified Payroll Reports.
Research and investigate all problems, corrections, and questions relative to weekly payroll payments.
Determine and enter payroll input necessary to calculate the pay for new hires, terminations, and situations that require adjustments to normal pay.
Analyze control reports for data accuracy, research and utilize reports in an effort to audit and correct payroll prior to pay date.
Complete Worker Wage Rate Forms, CCIP, and ROCIP reporting.
Process and administer W-2s.
Set up garnishments, 3rd party payments.
Maintain personnel records keeping records updated and current, e.g. rates, process and preserve direct deposit and pay card authorization forms, etc.
Track and implement IEC wage increases, payments and deductions, and complete weekly IEC invoicing.
Provide excellent customer service.

Requirements:
High School diploma required, college degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years payroll processing experience in construction industry
Familiarity with Davis Bacon wages, Certified Payroll, and payroll compliance terms.
Experience with all facets of the payroll process and related duties for 400+ employees.
Solid proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and 10-key are required.
Must be detail-oriented, a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to meet deadline with a strong sense of urgency and accuracy.
