Frontline Source Group  – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Construction Scheduler for our client located in West Houston, TX, for a contract to possible hire opportunity.

Job Summary:
The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating all sub-contractor activities to complete each phase of construction.  Sets schedule / construction timeline on all jobs.  Ensures all work orders and necessary paperwork is delivered to each sub-contractor.  Resolves any conflicts in scheduling; corrects any miscommunications and maintains relationships with contractors to ensure production is able to move forward.

Essential Functions:
Communication / Liaison with Customers and Sub-Contractors:
Interactions with customers via phone and email regarding project movement, answer questions, and resolve any issues with scheduling.
Coordinate with Project Manager to maintain and move production schedule.
Interactions with sub-contractors to define construction schedule.  Maintain working relationship to promote quality of work and scheduling efficiency.
Plans project schedule and reorganizes based upon work flow, project circumstances and vendor availability.

Paperwork:
Produce and distribute work orders to sub-contractors and vendors.  Maintain construction file and update notes on project files.
Copy permits and all project paperwork to make complete and accurate job files.
Fill out incident reports
Maintain in-office spreadsheets tracking data
Produce and maintain accurate construction files including: contract addendums, revised plans, incident reports, material selections, etc.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: High school diploma required; Associates Degree preferred
Experience: 1 – 3 years related experience
Specific Skills:  Strong attention to detail, able to make decisions relative to scheduling

Interfaces:
Internal: Project Managers and General Managers:  updates regarding job process and progress and questions.
External: Customers to answer questions and coordinate installation;  Sub-Contractors to distribute work orders, determine schedule.

Able to quickly react to a variety of situations
Excellent communication skills – listening, conflict resolution, etc.
Detail oriented – must be able to keep accurate, detailed records.
