Our NW Houston, TX client is seeking a Credit/Collection Manager to join their team on a Direct Hire basis.

The ideal candidate will have previous O&G experience, has worked in treasury functions including cash transfers and forecasting, and is capable of implementing appropriate changes in processes as needed.  This is a growing company with a great team and excellent benefits.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manages extended credit lines and evaluates Accounts Receivable portfolio and associated metrics
Ensures that risk is mitigated, cash is collected, accounts are reconciled, cash is posted and disputes are escalated to management
Perform essential treasury functions including cash transfers and forecasting.
Manage collections, research and cash application activities pertaining to A/R including, but not limited to, settlement negotiations and vendor management.
Update and review creditworthiness. Perform customer and vendor site visits and recommend credit lines and/or risk mitigation strategies.
Analyze cash from sales data to ensure accounts are credited properly and prepare reports as necessary
Accountable for meeting or exceeding published Credit & Collection metrics.
Define and enforce credit & collection policies and procedures and serve as an escalation point for customer queries and complaints.
Build strong, effective relationships with customers and internal sales team
Drives project management as needed

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in business, finance/accounting, or similar and 5-6 years related experience.
Strong knowledge of financial statements analysis and risk assessment required.
Strong proficiency with MS Excel
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Able to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines.
