Customer Service Manager – Houston Texas

Our Northwest Houston, TX client is seeking a contract to hire Customer Service Manager. Directly supervises 6-8 associates in the divisional customer service function. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve customer disputes appropriately
  • Manage customer expectations and requirements
  • Ensure technical skills availability to serve customers
  • Ensure effective sales relationship training
  • Assist in proposal and large project development
  • Identify cross selling opportunities
  • Assist in the effective use of products and service offerings
  • Support billing and collection
  • Assist in proposal and large project development
  • Identify cross selling opportunities
  • Assist in the effective use of products and service offerings
  • Ensure clear pricing and service levels are communicated to customers
  • Ensure customer compliance with contracts
  • Coordination of deliveries
  • Maintain customer and product tracking information
  • Monitor billing working with A/R department
  • Coordinate with pricing department on large purchases
  • Obtain pricing from appropriate suppliers
  • Assist in making buying arrangements
  • Development of KPI’s
  • Design and monitoring of customer satisfaction surveys
  • Identify high potential customer service representative talent
  • Determine training needs/ allocate resources
  • Develop/ establish motivating environment
  • Ensure successful planning
  • Reinforce corporate culture
  • Reward high performance through incentive program

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three to five years related experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish) both written and verbal communication skills highly preferred
  • High level of accountability to self, department and management
  • Willingness to lead by example
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Effective planner with the ability to multi-task
  • Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Salesforce experience is preferred.
