Our Austin client has an opening for an Electronics/ Electrical Controls Technician to join their team on a contract to hire basis.

The individual in this position will be responsible for performing all operations required to conceptualize, document, construct, install, modify, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/ electronic, control information systems. Additionally, the candidate must possess the aptitude to perform all operations required to maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to support the data center operation. Core competencies include: knowledge of Siemens controls, TAC controls and the ability to control commercial applications.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s Degree in electrical/electronics or a related technical field or must possess verifiable formal training in electricity, electronics, electrical theory, digital controls and programming – The equivalent to high school plus two years technical college education. This position requires an understanding of advanced mathematical principles in addition to strong troubleshooting skills and thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic concepts. Five years of experience trouble shooting electrical and electronic systems is desired. The candidate should have experience leading complex technical projects from conception through to implementation, commissioning and maintenance phases.
