Our Downtown Houston, TX client is seeking to hire an Energy Trading Attorney on a Direct Hire basis.
The candidate will work with an established Energy company’s legal department to develop and implement processes and best practices related to the trading of physical commodities, including power, natural gas and oil. Experience in electricity or oil and gas is highly preferred.
Qualifications:
3+ years of physical commodities experience in a law firm or in a fast paced in-house legal department.
Must have experience negotiating and drafting financial and physical derivative transactions, including ISDA Master Agreements and the related commodities annexes such as EEI, NAESB, North American Gas Annex, etc.
Must have experience providing legal advice and support to a commodities sales and trading business.
Must be available for some travel.
