Our Dallas, TX client is seeking a Financial Analyst.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of various financial reports on a monthly basis, including financial statement preparation for select business units
Responsible for consolidation of Business Segment Results and preparation of Monthly Financial Operations Report
Assistance with maintenance of select financial records, including preparation of journal entries and detailed general ledger account reconciliations
Preparation of financial forecasts and pro-forma/budgeted expenditure development and maintenance and overall variance analysis
Working closely with senior management, this role will also explain and deliver the period-end results to managers within the business unit
Assist with preparation of annual budgets and financial analyses for various departments
Calculate, analyze and report metrics around key operational areas including Direct Operating Income, Cash Flow and Return on Net Assets
Other Ad hoc requests
Requirements:
4-year degree in Accounting or Finance
Professional accounting designation or advanced degree preferred (i.e. CPA)
3-5 years of experience and in depth knowledge of accounting procedures & accounting systems
Able to thrive in an often fast paced, deadline oriented business
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Power Point)
Excellent analytical abilities, conceptual thinking, communication and interpersonal skills are expected
Oracle and Hyperion experience required with advanced financial reporting skills
Strong communication skills
Proven ability to operate and communicate in a business environment with strong professional etiquette and presentation skills
Initiative and ability to work both independently and with a team
Ability to make effective decisions while working in a fast paced environment
CPA or professional accounting designation a plus
