Our Fort Worth, TX client is looking to hire a Financial Analyst on a direct hire basis.

The primary focus of this position is to provide analytical and relationship support for all corporate finance activities.

Standard Job Description
Compiles and analyzes financial information for an organization. May be responsible for developing integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to management. Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Specific Job Description
Participate in various corporate finance activities, providing significant analytical and transaction support for evaluating potential acquisition opportunities as well as building and maintaining complex models for new products and services.
Improve accuracy, speed and functionality of rolling forecasts for the company at a consolidated level as well as for individual business segments.
Responsible for the timely development and completion of the annual budget.
Design, build and continuously improve financial/operational reports provided to senior executives on a quarterly basis (includes the CFO’s quarterly board presentation & various other reports).
Understand and become familiar with standard SEC filings.
Collect and analyze industry data relating to core competitors and business trends.
Prepare various marketing analyses for the VP – Marketing.
Process, develop and analyze large amounts of customer data to better understand customer behavior and patterns.
Develop strong interpersonal relationships with various key business units within the organization.
Provide analytical support to senior-level executives for various ad hoc projects.

Typical Minimum Education & Experience; Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years related experience.
Degree with an emphasis in finance or accounting required; MBA preferred.
Very strong analytical and Excel modeling skills.
Ability to offer creative solutions that improve the quality and speed of corporate finance reporting and analytics.
Experience with rapidly assuming new responsibilities.
Some project management experience.
Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on business writing.
Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.
Ability to make recommendations and/or decisions based on results from statistical analyses.
Experience using Hyperion or any other multidimensional platform preferred, including familiarity with Oracle
Hyperion Planning for budget planning purposes.
Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
