Our Kingwood, TX client is seeking a Financial Projects Manager to develop, coordinate, and administer the financial special projects of the company.

Requirements:
BS in Accounting.
CPA required.
Minimum 10 years relevant experience.
SAP required.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principals and methods with the ability to apply such knowledge to the accounting and business functions.
Strong working knowledge of computerized accounting (SAP required), spreadsheet, and word processing packages.

Responsibilities:
Consult with and provide assistance to CFO and other members of management in special projects and other financial analysis including but not limited to transfer pricing; energy project financial lead; IFRS; tax sharing agreements; BPC project lead; corporate governance.  Measures:  Number of projects completed accurately, on-time and with minimal supervision.
Lead manager and developer of SAP accounting related modules including responsible for management, development, support and training for SAP FICO module.  Measures:  Number of training sessions held.  Continued exploration of functionality and number of SAP issues successfully resolved (with aid of technical consultants).
Risk management duties – data collection for annual renewals; maintenance of paper and electronic files; if claims arise, manager of claims; liaison with legal counsel on review of policies.  Measures:  Annual renewal data collection completed accurately and timely.  No material gaps in policy coverage.  Number of claims successfully concluded.
SAP security and GRC manager.  Measures:  SAP security and GRC module kept up to date.  Further exploration and implementation of GRC module functionality.
Participation in inventory management team with direct responsibility of analyzing the financial impact of inventory related decisions and coordinate such impact with Controller.  Measures:  Number of inventory management team meetings held and accurate record of all inventory adjustments.
Coordinate with Controller and consult with all segments of management responsible for policy or action that impacts accounting.  Measurers:  No gap in accounting policies.
Back-up to Controller.  Measures:  Successfully management of day to day duties in Controller’s absence.
Transfer pricing study – research and analysis for company wide impact; company-wide documentation and regulation
Lake Charles energy project – liaison with operations team and tax consultants; lead manager in cost segregation and depreciation studyIFRS – study of impact and communication of such company-wide; lead manager in conversion when required
SAP expert – lead manager in future implementation and resolution of issues (i.e. foreign currency; maintenance module etc.); back up to controller as in-house SAP knowledge expertTax sharing agreement – drafting and finalization with attorneys; continual management and collaboration with controller on tax payments etc.
BPC project manager – lead manager on phase 2 and full utilization of BPC capabilities
Corporate governance – research and documentation company wide on special project as directed by CFO
Risk management duties – data collection for annual renewals; maintenance of paper and electronic files; if claims arise, manager of claims
SAP security and GRC manager
