Our Dallas, TX client is seeking an HR Specialist- FMLA.
Responsibilities:

FMLA (Daily)

Receive notification of all leave requests

Mail out notification paperwork to employee and management
-
Log and track status of paperwork and leave
-
Correspond with management on law, responsibilities, and status of employee
-
Separations (Weekly)
-
Check for completion (i.e. supporting documents and verify term reason)
-
Email management for missing information or revision
-
Send to file
-
Employee Morale Team (Monthly)
-
Complete annual calendar of monthly events and responsible department
-
Coordinate with each month’s department and CP
-
Approve or revise idea
-
Provide guidance on funding
-
Picnic
-
HR Library/Training (As Needed)
-
Maintain HR library contents and location of materials
-
Prepare training books/materials for management
-
Donations (Daily)
-
Receive all donation requests
-
Mail out certificates to organizations
-
Receive reservation requests from certificate winners/holders
-
Correspond with reservation to book stay
-
Mail out confirmation letter to guest
-
Handle any questions regarding the donation program
-
Organize and prepare all aspects of fall picnic
-
Something Interesting (Monthly)
-
Choose from pre-approved newsletter articles and complete newsletter for management
-
Personnel Policy Manual Inventory (As Needed)
-
Issue policy manuals to new managers upon request
-
Maintain log of managers with a policy manual
-
Unemployment (Weekly/Daily)
-
Receive and process claims
-
Gather additional information as needed
-
Speak with management and advise on verbiage and content
-
State Calls – 48 hour turn around
-
Hearing notices weekly/daily
-
Decide whether more information can be provided
-
Pursue or withdraw from hearing
-
Forward to and inform management of notice and or UI process
-
Decisions weekly/daily
-
Add decision to claim/hearing notice and file
-
Discuss appeal with CCC
-
Shoppers (Monthly)
-
Grade monthly reports
-
Discuss scores with AC/LR/CP/DC
-
Revise scores, if necessary
-
Create bonus sheet
-
Bonus sheet signed by DC, sent to Amy G.
-
X-Pay (Monthly)
-
Receive pay and hour information for sales reps and managers
-
Compile information into access database
-
Review for errors
-
Generate monthly pay report
-
Get approval from DC
-
Create automated pay file for active employees and send list of manually keyed, termed employees for Christine.
-
Monster/Hiring (As Needed)
-
Assist with employment postings as needed
-
Pay bill and code invoice to appropriate department
-
DFW Shred (Monthly)
-
Prepare check request for bill
Requirements:
-
2+ years of experience in a similar
-
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
-
Good computer skills
