Our NW Houston, TX client is in need of a HSE Director for a Direct Hire opportunity.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or closely related field and 7+ years’ experience in management of HSE Programs. Direct experience with offshore platform worksites is a REQUIREMENT for this position. Must be familiar with API RP 75.

Responsibilities:
Manages and directs all corporate HSE functions.
Formulation of corporate safety policies, programs and procedures to achieve compliance.
Administers corporate-wide safety training to employees.
Head of the Safety Committee and works together with committee members to achieve safety goals.
Administers HSE objectives on a short and long term basis taking into consideration company objectives, client requirements, division and/or project needs, current and proposed safety and health regulations and industry safety developments and practices.
Maintains knowledge of all local, state and federal regulations (i.e. OSHA, MSDS, HAZOPS, HAZMAT).
Administers Company’s DOT and non-DOT Drug and Alcohol plans, and determines appropriate placement of employees in each plan. Maintains the covered employee lists for each plan and ensures the minimum drug and alcohol testing requirements are met.
Handles all safety, environmental and drug testing audits with customers or regulatory entities.
Investigates and manages all workforce safety incidents and workers compensation claims.
Represents Company in a professional manner in all HSE-related meetings with clients.
Assists with the preparation of monthly and annual Injury and Illness reporting statistics.
Updates safety questionnaires and statistical reports from customers or regulatory agencies, including but not limited to: ISNetworld, Veriforce, NCMS, DISA & PEC Premier.
