Our Houston, TX client, located in the Pearland/Rosharon area, is in need of a Human Resource Administrative Assistant for a contract to hire opportunity.

Position Summary:
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources and Office practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the ongoing development of a superior workforce.

Tasks:
As the HR Assistant you will report to the HR Director and will be responsible for the clerical and secretarial duties of the Human Resources department
Send Fed Ex packages and drop off mail when needed
Ensure stamp machine is loaded
Order supplies when needed
Process new hire paperwork into Corporate and VP
Enroll employees in benefits
Process I-9’s using E-Verify
Process MVR and background checks
Upload new hire files to O drive
Ensure training material is loaded into VP and PVault
Ensure PAF’s are completed correctly and submitted with appropriate signatures
Ensure rate change forms for salaried staff includes a performance review prior to submission
Perform other duties management request
Enter credit card receipts into Com Data
Entering crew time into Heavy Job

Skills:
The individual should be dependable, organized, and analytical with good problem solving skills.
Oral Comprehension, the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Problem Sensitivity, the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
Word processing skills, ability to prioritize, judgment and decision making abilities, and must have the ability to handle multiple projects and complete assignments in a timely fashion under frequent and numerous deadlines.

Experience and Education:
To perform the Human Resources Administrative Office Assistant job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. High School graduate, 5 years of general clerical experience.
One to 3 years experience in Human Resources or Office Assistant preferred
Solid experience in Microsoft Office Suite 2007 and/or above
Requires excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong grammar, spelling, punctuation, and ability to do simple mathematical functions
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Skills in database management and record keeping.
Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
Excellent organizational skills.
Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
