Our Houston, TX client, located in the Galleria area, is in need of an Inventory Control Clerk on a contract to hire basis.
Job Responsibilities:
Inventory Transaction processing
Monthly reconciliation of yard inventory vs. calculated inventory
Vessel Receiving
Customer returns
Reconciliation and prep for annual audit
Write purchase orders and communicate with yards
Inspections
Repair
Communicate directly with yards regarding all inventory transactions
Work with Logistics to determine best yard placement for incoming material
Running of Reports
Weekly available inventory reports to Sales
Weekly actual shipments report
Monthly variance report on physical inventory
Close purchase orders as necessary
Software Requirements:
MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, Lotus, Peachtree
Experience Required:
1-3 years of inventory maintenance experience required. Ability to use advanced math skills and logic on a daily basis. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills. Oilfield industry experience a plus with familiarity of OCTG and Line Pipe tubular goods. Very fast paced and demanding position. Reports directly to Inventory Manager. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and work well under deadlines. Must have a significant attention to detail. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills.
