Our NW Houston, TX has an immediate need for an Inventory Control Specialist.

The inventory control specialist will maintain an accurate inventory level at the facility and identify and optimiz common inventory items among facilities.  The inventory control specialist will train employees on the process of inventory management and cycle counting in an SAP environment.

Job Duties:
Develop and implement methods to maintain accurate inventory levels at the facility, act as one of the trainers on SAP Goods Issue & Goods Receipt transactions.
Identify and optimize common inventory items among facilities and assist in setting up stocking plans both physically and in SAP.
Work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional teams, including those from purchasing, engineering and production to resolve data issues, vendor delivery and return issues, improve processes and work flows.
Manage effectively so that the cycle counts are completed in a timely and accurate manner
5S activity around Inventory Control including but not limited to proper identification of materials, work flows, & work instructions.
Conduct or supervise audits of facility inventory on a scheduled basis
Take on the responsibility for training employees on the process of inventory management and cycle counting
Other duties/responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:
Problem-solving and analytical ability
SAP materials management/inventory control experience is necessary.(SAP MM module experience required)
Superior organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills.
Able to work independently with some direction in office, warehouse, & manufacturing environments.
Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, note – Intermediate Excel & Outlook (must be familiar with pivot tables, charts and be able to export informtion out of SAP into Excel)
Manufacturing environment experience preferred
2+ years of experience in an inventory role
