Our Katy, TX client has an immediate need for a IT Business Analyst for their Payroll and HR department.
Summary:
Seeking an IT Business Analyst to work with the HR and Payroll department on all systems including Taleo, Kronos, etc.
Description:
Maintains working understanding of and follows prescribed System Development Life Cycle methodology.
Ensures that all documentation is complete, accurate, easy to comprehend, and meets current documentation standards.
Ensures customer satisfaction with the delivered solution by involving them and keeping them engaged from initiation through project close-out.
Partners with business unit liaison to complete project initiation requests and project scorecards thoroughly enough to equip the Technology Governance Council for effective evaluation of projects submitted for approval.
Schedules and/or participates in the organization and leadership of project related meetings and work groups. Sets agendas in advance, identifies action items, and distributes meeting minutes.
Communicates changes in functionality, cost or timelines to customers.
Supports vendor evaluation and selection process according to management direction.
Collaborates with development and business liaisons to develop test scripts.
Conducts functional testing.
Coordinates and facilitates user acceptance testing, and creates user manuals.
Assists with tasks and issues follow-up including contacting project team members for tasks and issue status, communicating potential conflicts and issues to the Project Manager and updating the appropriate logs and plans.
Assists business liaison with training documentation.
Performs post-implementation evaluations.
Serves dual role of BA and Project Manager for projects of appropriate size/scope.
Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years experience managing the activities of multiple concurrent projects.
Formal Business Analyst training and/or Business Analyst Certification preferred.
Two years work experience in: Information Technology Department.
Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio and MS Project.
Previous experience with a formalized Systems Development Life Cycle processes/policy preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required.
BA certification or PMI certification preferred.
