Our Fort Worth, TX client is seeking a Litigation Secretary on a contract to possible hire basis.

Position Overview:
Provide timely and efficient secretarial and clerical support as requested by attorneys, and if applicable, paralegal personnel.  Maintain positive contact with clients and other firm personnel and retain confidentiality of client matters. 

Job Responsibilities:
Transcribe and revise as required, machine dictation or handwritten materials, including correspondence, memoranda, briefs, pleadings and other legal documents
Edit and finalize documents; copy and mail to clients, parties of record, and other parties to legal matters and cases
Prepare pleading binders, notebooks and exhibits as required
May draft routine or simple correspondence and legal documents for attorney or paralegal review
Proofread all documents produced, including all calendar items
Read, sort and date-stamp all incoming mail, coordinating same with pertinent files or information and distribute to assigned timekeepers early in the work day
Calendar all pertinent dates, including due dates, court dates, and follow-ups as instructed by timekeepers
Prepare new client memos and conflict of interest check forms with all required client and matter information
Maintain all client and general files in up-to-date condition, including pleading and other indices as required
Contact clients by telephone and accept client phone calls when requested; maintain good public relations with clients; retain confidentiality of attorney-client relationship
Work closely and harmoniously with all attorneys, paralegals and other firm personnel to insure projects are completed in a professional and timely manner 

Requirements:
Experience of no less than five years as a legal secretary
7+ years of litigation experience
Ability to accurately standard type at minimum speed of 70 wpm with a high level of proficiency
Possesses strong organizational skills for prioritizing workload and keeping filing up-to-date and case files organized at all times
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form and style
Ability to compose basic correspondence and draft routine legal documents with minimal instructions
Must have working knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook
