Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Manager of Application Development for our Dallas, TX client on a direct hire basis.

Position Description:
Aligns IT strategy and applications with overall company objectives.  Provide leadership and direction for selecting solutions (buy vs. build) across a wide range of environments including centralized and distributed. Effectively manage all internal back office applications – including maintenance and new development.  Responsible for planning, acquiring, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-wide systems in an efficient and secure manner. Build and mentor leaders within IT ensuring IT-business partner alignment and the creation of business value from IT-enabled investments. Additional duties include:
Build and direct a cohesive team of internal and external personnel to effectively develop across a broad range of technologies including packaged implementations, custom      development, and maintenance
Prioritize and manage IT development activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time / budget, and with superior quality. Provide technical expertise, support, and guidance in planning and implementing
Ensure effective use of staff, the smooth/efficient operation of the Development group, proper controls, and minimal down-time due to systems issues
Work closely with the Corporate Systems Director to drive strategy and tactical execution. Build a best-in-class IT systems environment that is scalable and will support organic growth and acquisitions
Develop cutting edge solutions that support the company’s strategies and provide a high degree of end user satisfaction.
Ensure the integrity of all information systems and corporate information through the implementation and maintenance of established system management practices and controls.  Identify tools, processes and techniques to improve efficiency and quality of the Development group
Continuously evaluate staff positions, responsibilities and individuals for appropriate performance, skills, potential for improvement and growth.  Manage merit increases and annual bonuses for direct reports.  Mentor staff to improve skills, provide career growth, and ensure succession plans.  Develop detailed plan for staffing changes, training, enrichment and personal development
Develop Application Development Technology operating and capital budgets and control respective expenditures

Position Requirements:
3+ years of management of IT related activities including supervision of technical team.
4+ years of Applications Development related experience
Bachelors degree required
Proven experience with multi-state and multi-branch locations
Demonstrated leadership of multi-discipline, high performance work teams and an established track record of managing technical staff through the project development lifecycle phases.
Must have experience in managing a suite of ERP applications
Must possess experience in technical design and delivery of HCM, ABAP, Payroll, SuccessFactors
Proven experience with building and managing department budgets and forecasts.
SAP experience preferred
Integration with third-party interfaces preferred
