Our downtown Nashville,TN client is looking for a Manager of Graphic Design Services to join their growing, fast-paced team on a direct hire basis.

Position Description:
The Manager-Graphic Services is responsible for the development and execution of the firm’s branded print and electronic marketing collateral.
The Manager-Graphic Services designs or oversees the design and implementation of electronic and print marketing collateral, including pitch templates, brochures, newsletters, blogs, videos, invitations, advertisements, announcements, event collateral, web graphics, interactive presentations and other ad-hoc graphic design requests. This position also executes the design and layout of international/multilingual materials—with an awareness of cultural considerations—including Chinese, Japanese and Arabic in coordination with external and internal translators/advisors.
This person will act as brand steward by having strong familiarity with look, feel, voice and overall brand presence and will help to develop/evolve the brand, develop new materials and templates for collateral within brand guidelines, and will determine how to create marketing content for use across multiple devices (e.g., Desktop, Blackberry, iPhone).
Serving as a liaison with IT and the department, the Manager-Graphic Services will maintain the Communications Mac platform server and handle all technical issues for the graphics group, including troubleshooting equipment/software issues, specifying and coordinating hardware/software purchases to ensure that the graphics group has the appropriate tools for optimal workflow.
This person will also act as liaison to IT with regard to all communications and business development content on the Intranet, including design and modification of pages as appropriate.
The Manager-Graphic Services will assist in the development and design of external and internal technical solutions including blogs, extranets, intranets and automated template generators and will provide graphics, project planning and production/technical expertise and counsel to Communications team, other marketers, and IT staff as well as lawyers and other department leaders.
The Manager-Graphic Services will advise IT staff with regard to the distribution of electronic communications and the creation of branded templates for use in firm pitches as well as develop creative guidelines and training materials/sessions for marketing staff.
The person in this position will establish and implement procedures for project organization and archive, build and maintain the graphics and photography library, ensuring that all licenses to image use are maintained, and will work with internal and external vendors for the production of marketing materials.
The Manager-Graphic Services will act as point person for facilities on signage and stationery. This position will supervise the traffic/production coordinator and freelance designers and work closely with Communications team, other marketers, lawyers and other department leaders.
This position will strategize/understand the strategy behind specific collateral in development and deliver a final piece that is on strategy and visually cohesive, coherent and compelling to its intended audience.

Requirements:
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years’ progressive graphic design, design management and execution experience.
Candidate should have a high proficiency with Adobe CS 5 (or higher), including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, After Effects and Premiere and have the ability to implement design solutions across the Microsoft Office Suite. Strong HTML/technical skills are required.
Candidate should have a track record of implementation/production and experience supervising designers and traffic/production staff and negotiating with vendors.
Candidate must present a portfolio showcasing design skills across a variety of touch points.
Candidate must have thorough knowledge of the graphic services function and be able to complete moderately complex assignments, as well as broad knowledge of other marketing functions in the department.
Candidate should be able to anticipate and address issues and opportunities with little or no supervision.
Candidate should be able to find and effectively use data, experience and judgment to formulate realistic and sound points of view; be able to develop and make formal presentations to management and other groups throughout the firm, and have the ability to maintain positive relationships with firm leaders and partners, marketing colleagues and superiors.
