Our Brookshire, TX client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor.  This person will be supervising CNC programmers, and manufacturing specialists.

Description:

This position is responsible for managing Manufacturing Engineering departments. The responsibilities are to develop a standard costing and pricing system, and generate manufacturing routings.  This will be done utilizing existing personnel and resources.

Responsibilities:

Effectively manage M.E. departments: Provide leadership and motivation to team to create and maintain a high level of excitement for continuous improvement. Negotiate resolution of differences that arise between departments, disciplines and individuals relating to standardization of methods, processes and procedures.

Guide the team to provide routings to the Manufacturing and Procurement groups.

Create new concepts and solutions for program development of the Universal Standard Costing System (USCS). Identify and motivate team to assist in development and implementation of USCS.

Conduct team meetings to review continuous improvement.

Provide information to executive staff and management.

Facilitate problem resolution with any aspect of a project in difficulty.

Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN, Quality and EHS Management System.

Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in engineering or closely related field required; a combination of equivalent work related experience and education will be considered. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Five years experience in at least three operational disciplines.  Previous experience in a supervisory role is strongly preferred.  One year experience as a change agent preferred.  Strong technical manufacturing and operations knowledge in a closely related industry, engineered to order.

Effective communicator, skilled in written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be a motivator, able to get people to support and contribute at a sustained high level. Must be able to lead through “ability to influence” instead of direct authority.

Solid knowledge of CNC programming required, ESPRIT preferred.

Knowledge of manufacturing routings, fabrication and welding of steel and stainless steel.

Knowledge of ERP systems required, SAP strongly preferred
