Our NW Houston, TX client is in need of a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for a Direct Hire opportunity.

Duties:
Will be responsible for conducting and documenting various manufacturing development and product tests including assembly, inspection, testing, preventative maintenance, manufacturing and assembly fixture development, and support to product verification and validation efforts. Commensurate with conducting tests, this person will be responsible for investigations into test failures, working with the manufacturing and engineering to determine root cause and implementing corrective actions. Will be working with a new and innovative Camera System technology.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must be extremely well-organized and able to consistently meet stringent deadlines while working with minimal supervision.
Must be proficient in quality control through all stages of the process.
Must have a strong understanding of electrical-mechanical drawings, schematics, diagrams, and bills of material to perform assembly, testing, analysis and troubleshooting functions without engineering instructions.
Must have ability to build assemblies by following BOMs, schematics and assembly drawings.
Assists Engineers with performing new product introduction test validation and process walkthrough
Support senior engineers in analyzing test issues and performing gap analysis
Supports and conducts Functional Testing on computers and or components

EXPERIENCE:
Basic understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
Ability to read and interpret protocols and test standards, read and interpret engineering drawings and other specifications
Ability to set up and operate test apparatus and systems with minimal guidance.
Knowledge of development tools – Altium and Quartus
Knowledge of various test equipment:  Multi-meters, oscilloscopes, function generators
Minimum of five 5 years of experience in engineering support to assembly and manufacturing,

EDUCATION:
A High School or Trade School Diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred
