Our Houston, TX client, located in the Energy Corridor, is in need of a Measurement Analyst for a Direct Hire opportunity.

Job Summary:
The Measurement Analyst responsibilities are to collect, process, and distribute gas information data in a timely, accurate and cost effective manner.  The Measurement Analyst position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of measurement in PGAS and other systems

Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Receive, collect, identify and qualify electronic gas measurement data
Process and edit electronic gas measurement data into gas information reports from PGAS system.
Analyze hourly meter and gas quality measurement information.
Create and issue volume statements to external and internal customers
Build automated processes and reports using PGAS and other reporting tools.
Maintain system balances and allocations
Audit the accuracy of third party electronic gas information and reports
Review analysis and inspection report information and update meter files
Maintain system archives
Maintain customer relations with third party customers and respond to all questions
Issued revised volume statements, as needed
Set up of new meters in PGAS
Investigate and work with field personnel and technical consultants to resolve measurement discrepancies
Interface with other SCADA systems such as Elynx
Interpreting field schematics

Other Skills and Abilities:
Intermediate knowledge of Gas Measurement
Intermediate knowledge of gas accounting, balancing and auditing practices
Experience with PGAS System, a plus
Working knowledge of measurement standards, equipment and reporting.

Minimum Requirements:
Accounting or business degree preferred
Five years energy experience, gas plant and/or volume accounting experience a plus
Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, organization, and documentation skills needed
Advanced Excel skills including query, pivot tables
Experience with report development, a plus

Abilities Required:
Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
Ability to travel to the plant frequently for 1-2 nights at a time.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc
Could involve some lifting up to 20 pounds
Ability to sit for extended periods of time without much movement
Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines
Overtime, as required.
