Our Northwest Houston, TX client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is an opportunity to join an established team that provides plenty of freedom in addition to hands-on work in the field including investigations, standardization of best practices, failure analysis and much more. The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering degree, 3+ years of drilling/completions experience, and a strong QA/QC background.
Primary Responsibilities:
Enhance performance of both Rental and Tubular businesses with improved operational and R&M practices
Incident/failure analysis and associated reporting
Contribute tool application evaluation.
Enhance customer proposals, particularly for offshore rentals, with higher technology completion equipment and services
Interface with sales and operations to generally enhance level of customer technical service
Qualifications:
Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering degree required
3+ years of experience in drilling/completions
QA/QC management experience
Well planning experience
Good presentation skills
Understanding of drill string dynamics a plus
