Our Weatherford, TX client is seeking a Medical Biller on a 2-4 week contract basis.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare all medical claims for billing and enter date into EHR system
Gather appropriate documentation for claims submission
Assist in collections of patient accounts, determine status of cellectability and work with organization’s collection agency
Obtain necessary documentation (updated medical order, clinical notes, patient agreement, etc.) and submit to insurance carrier for continued coverage determination
Act as liason between clients and physician offices to relay or obtain perinent information/documents for billing of claims
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing
Experience using Docutap is a MUST
Strong knowledge working with Medicare, Medicaid and third party commercial insurance companies
Must be fully aware of HIPAA guidelines and willing to implement them at all times
Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
Must work well independently in an organized manner in order to meet deadlines
