Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Medical Claims Specialist for our Plano, TX client on a contract to possible hire basis.
Responsibilities:
Heavy data entry into a medical claims database
Processing medical claims for workers’ compensation, Texas non subscription, maritime liability, and general liability claims
Tracks status of insurance claims and litigated cases until accounts are paid/resolved
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
HS Diploma required, college degree preferred
2+ years of experience processing medical claims
Working knowledge of medical forms: CMS1500, UB92, Pharmacy and Dental
Strong skill set & knowledge of coding principles: CPT and ICD-9
Understanding of medical terminology and workers’ compensation
Prior experience of the insurance industry
Ability to prioritize duties, be organized and multi-task well
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be fast on 10-key: 10,000sph or close to it
