Our client in Dallas, TX Is looking for a Network Engineer:

Basic Function
This exempt position manages the implementation, maintenance and performance of all servers and network applications and backup services for each office location; including testing, debugging, installing and maintaining.  This position will have hands-on responsibility and work closely with the Director of Information Technology.

Essential Duties
1.Administers, maintains, develops and implements procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the product;
2.Lead in projects, including development and growth of our  application offerings;
3.Responsible for installation and configuration of applications;
4.Troubleshoot network applications and hardware;
5.Provides documentation/project tracking;
6.Subject matter expert in specific applications and network technology and solutions, providing consultation to IT leadership;
7.Analyze/resolve problems with server hardware, OS and applications software;
8.Handles troubleshooting for backend application software features;
9.Manage implementation of components required for complex application features.
10.Manage client service relationships for deployment and ongoing Firm support applications.
Other Duties
1.Provide technical support to team members;
2.Fix reports of problems; close tickets; provide feedback;
3.Perform other related duties as needed or assigned.
Reporting Relationship
The Network Engineer II reports to the Director of Information Technology.

Qualifications
Knowledge
Individual must have proven expertise in the support of a Microsoft Exchange messaging environment and advanced knowledge of Microsoft internetworking technologies including Windows Server 2003 to current, Active Directory, file and print services, DNS and DHCP.  Other required experience includes server and management and support of remote desktop, voice, mobility, data replication, back-up technologies, and legal specific technologies.  Additionally, position requires in-depth knowledge of network operating systems, servers, and physical network components.
Skills
Must possess strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work both individually and collaboratively with team members, attorneys, professional staff, and vendors in support of different project initiatives.  Incumbent will help establish and participate in the development of technology-related policies, standards and end-user procedures as appropriate.
Experience
Minimum five to seven years’ experience in a large Microsoft environment.  Minimum one to three years in a large law firm environment strongly preferred.  College degree strongly preferred with a B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or related degree or equivalent education and work experience or certification.
Physical Demands
Must be able to move around the office up to 25% of the time; Position remains stationary at least 50% of the time; When doing occasional office build outs or system upgrades, might be required to move around up to 100% of the time; This position constantly operates, and frequently inspects and positions, computers and other office productivity machines (e.g., fax machine, copier, printer, etc.); Positions self to maintain/troubleshoot computers underneath office desks, up to 15% of the time; Frequently moves computer equipment weighing up to 20 lbs; Occasionally moves computer/server equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.; This position requires frequent communication and exchange of information with the Firm attorneys and staff.
Frequently identifies and distinguishes colors and correct focus.
This position requires occasional work after normal business hours and on weekends.

Working conditions
Office Environment:  Position requires up to 50% travel.
