Our Richardson, TX client is seeking a Network Engineer.  This could be a direct hire opportunity but also potential for contract to hire.

As the primary service delivery role for the company, the Engineer is responsible for planning, executing and controlling high value client engagements to assure profitability for the company and satisfaction for the client. This position contributes to the long-term growth of the company by delivering a team service approach that builds Company’s brand reputation and creates repeat engagements. This includes collaboration with other Company team members to determine client needs, client service expectations, project problem prevention and service gap recovery. As the primary technical resource, the Engineer is also expected to build the knowledge base of the company by securing and documenting technical solutions that facilitate and enhance continuous improvement of present and future engagements.

This role manages the Technical Services Department’s expenses, components, tools and equipment, as well as, client devices in Company’s custody. The person in this position is expected to collaborate with all team members, practice on-going self-development initiatives and to demonstrate and champion alignment with Company’s brand reputation and goals.

Responsibilities:
Plan, Execute and Control cost effective, high value client engagements that create client satisfaction and repeat engagements to assure Company growth and profitability.
Secure, Maintain and Document technical solutions to develop a knowledge base that supports continuous improvement of client service delivery.
Effectively Employ, Control and Safeguard the physical and financial assets of the company including expenses, inventory, tools and client devices in Company’s custody.
Demonstrate and Strengthen team attitudes and behaviors to foster a collaborative team service approach to achieve client and company goals.
Exhibit a high level of self-management and self-development that models the Skills and Attitudes required of this role and to effectively collaborate with others to achieve company goals.

Skills and Requirements:
LAN, WLAN Implementation experience.
LAN: Route/Switch, Cisco, HP or Brocade.  Must have strong understanding of one  and be able to train on others.
WLAN: Cisco, Aruba, Motorola and HP.  Must have strong understanding of one and be able to train on others.
Firewall: HP ProCurve, Juniper, Cisco, Sonicwall, and/or .vantronix
Prefer ASA or Fortinet Knowledge
Must have Pre-sales Consulting: Customer Needs Assessment, Solutions Design and Positioning, Solution Presentation Support, Consulting skills to present to customer and Network Design (L2/L3)
Ability to travel 50-60% of the time is required in Texas and all in the Mid-US states during the week (home on weekends).
