Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for modifying the drawings as well as all necessary documentation and analysis for customer specific modifications to the existing product line.  When not focused on specific projects, the engineer will work on extending the existing product line via modifications.

Job Description:

–     Compressor/Pump knowledge and machinery experience (assemblies, gear boxes, motors, Etc.)

–     Basic Mechanical calculations (pressure fits, torque on a shaft, etc.)

–     Modify drawings and all necessary documentation for product modifications.  Documentation will include but is not limited to test forms, specifications, manuals, and bill material.

–     Interface with machine shop to not only provide necessary documentation, but to also assist in troubleshooting problems and determining an acceptable solution.

–     Interface with sales team to provide costs and estimated delivery time for quotations.

–     Interface with customers to solidify specifications and needs.

–     Perform all necessary calculations and analysis to ensure quality products.

Job Requirements:

–     Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Required.

–     AutoCAD 2006

–     2-3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer with knowledge of machinery.

–     Detailed oriented with ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn.

–     Must be hands on and not only know how to create the drawings and documentation but be able to work with others to troubleshoot problems and determine solutions to mechanical problems.

Primary Objective

The HSSE Specialist assists with preparation and coordination of filing of permit applications normally associated with the Midstream pipeline business. Providing technical support to all comppany employees and Contractors on HSSE and regulatory reporting, they will be the custodian of the HSSE and regulatory reporting systems within the company. In addition, the role will provide general support to the HSSE team on the development and implementation of campaigns and programs as they arise. The HSSE Specialist will report to the VP HSSE.

Major Functions and Scope

  • Technical focal point for HSSE and regulatory reporting systems (Synergi, XEM)
  • Interface with field based personnel for data gathering
  • Recording, logging, and analyzing HSSE and regulatory data for both Contractors and the company.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required of the company, Stakeholders, State and Federal bodies
  • Provide logistical support to promotional campaigns and HSSE programs
  • Provide document management and control for the HSSE team
  • Prepare and deliver training material for reporting systems

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in engineering, environmental science, or a related field

Experience

  • 1-5 years in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably with Midstream experience, including regulatory or related environmental work experience and working within the HSSE area as an analyst

Competencies

  • Knowledge of Midstream regulatory permitting and compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical and computer skills using standard office based packages to a highly proficient level (Excel Pro as an example)
  • Experience with proprietary HSSE databases (Synergi, XeM) would be an advantage
  • Ability to prepare professional presentation packages for HSSE Team use
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to maintain composure and work well under pressure
  • Experience with creating and maintaining databases
  • Excellent planning / organizing and self-monitoring skills
  • Effectively recognize and focus efforts on priority tasks
  • Ability to work within a Team environment
  • Good communicator with third party organizations

Job Summary:

The Assistant Comptroller is primarily responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the financial books and records for this large International Bank and its subsidiaries. Job Duties:

  • Prepare periodic (monthly, quarterly and annual) financial statements in accordance with US GAAP for submission to the Boards, external auditors, regulatory authorities, Executive Offices Finance and Tax departments.
  • Design and implement appropriate financial statements and management information reports for the Board of Directors and local Management as well as for distribution. Financial statements are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for the US and Canada.
  • Manage the funding and daily accounting requirements.
  • Prepare all Federal, State and Municipal tax returns and regulatory filings for each Subsidiary and Holding company.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of the real estate subsidiaries accounting system. The system must reflect both the financial and tax accounting requirements of each subsidiary and holding company, and be consistent with the Bank’s financial reporting requirements.
  • Perform the duties of Secretary of the Board ensuring that full sets of current and properly executed corporate documents are in place for each subsidiary company.
  • Maintain depreciation schedules for the fixed assets of the Houston Branch.

Job Requirements:

  • This is a specialized position requiring a professional accounting qualification (CPA).
  • A detailed knowledge of US GAAP and of relevant tax codes for a variety of US jurisdictions is required.
  • Transactions and related accounting issues are among the most complex in the company.  An extremely high degree of technical expertise is therefore required.  The company’s operation is at the forefront of accounting and business changes. New products are continually being developed. The Assistant Comptroller must stay abreast of developments to anticipate their impact on the subsidiary and recommend action as warranted.
  • Excellent PC skills and the ability to use a variety of generic software packages are necessary. These skills are required in order to design and create appropriate accounting records and specialized financial reports.
  • The ideal candidate should have an aptitude for technology and be accustomed to multiple systems – GL, Loan system, Investment system.
  • Several internal & external interfaces: finance, payments, loan operations officers, taxation, corporate bankers, internal audit, external audit, feds
  • Must have experience with Extensive spreadsheets – advanced Excel skills
  • Working knowledge or US GAAP (need not be expert).  Reports in Canadian GAAP but report stands alone in US GAAP.
  • Must have hands on experience preparing financials monthly consolidating several divisions.
  • Must be very detailed oriented to produce high quality reports
  • Must be able to be an individual contributor, responsible for preparing and analyzing the financials.
  • Must be interested in learning new things.
  • Will have no direct reports.

•           Assists with, takes active role in, and held accountable for financial forecasting and business planning.

•           Responsible for initiating, writing, and follow up to internal engineering requests (RFEA’s).

•           Works closely with and is part of service center team to meet objectives of facility, CSS, and Company.

•           Ensures all involved disciplines are aware of trends in department and marketplace.

Payroll Compliance Adminsitrator – Houston Texas

Our Southwest Houston, TX client is seeking a contract Payroll Compliance Administrator.

Responsibilities:

Plans, organizes, and reviews postings or other recording of special programs to employee earnings or deductions. Performs tasks to maintain employee payroll records for special compliance payments, income or deductions.  Runs uploads into payroll and coordinates with payroll specialists for timely pay of special items.

Ensures pay practices comply with Wage & Hour regulations; reviews new pay programs to ensure compliance, make recommendations where needed.

Conducts investigations to resolve issues or complaints and monitor compliance.

Cooperates with local, state, and federal governmental units, other organizations, and other company departments in resolving issues.

Administers specific programs such as Stock Options, Restricted Stock, Benefits in Kind, special Expatriate Compensation, Vehicles, Relocation, Educational Reimbursement, and Workers Compensation.

Processes approved payments, deductions, taxable benefits, such as Educational Reimbursements, Relocation payments, Workers’ Compensation, Stock, Vehicles, Benefits in Kind.

Balances and reconciles inputs and outputs; researches and resolves out of balance situations.

Adjusts employee records for errors or other adjustments.

Prepares Accounts Payable check requests for remittances to Unions, Credit Union, etc.

Ensures that appropriate approvals have been received prior to employee record maintenance, employee payments, vendor payments, or transmission of data such as Direct Deposit or Positive Pay to outside parties.

Researches uncashed checks after expiration of valid dates.

Monitor unclaimed checks for state Escheat compliance.

Assists with compliance issues when acquisitions or divestiture occur.

Runs analytical reports as needed.
Maintains SOX documentation.

Cross-trains and backs up the following functions:

Wage Attachments/Garnishment set-up and ensures remittances to agencies are timely and accurate.

Submits Direct Deposit files and Positive Pay files to banks following finalization of pays.

Tax balancing, deposits through Ceridian, enrolling in new jurisdictions, quarterly and annual reconciliations and reporting.

Other back-up as needed.

Requirements:

Large company (6000 + employees) experience

Experience using Oracle software applications (Payroll, Human Resources

Payroll expert, CPP preferred, knowledgeable in tax compliance, Wage & hour compliance, SOX requirements, taxable benefits.

Experience in monitoring compliance with legislation and company policies relative to payroll.

Ability to work in team situations and ability to plan and execute individual assignments.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Highly analytical with problem solving skills.

Medical Billing – Radiology/ Oncology – Irving Texas

Minimum Requirements:

  • Expert with billing concepts, practices and procedures.
  • 5+ years experience in billing within a fast paced setting such as a hospital setting or specialty office setting.
  • Preferred billing experience in radiology or oncology specialties.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares and electronically submits clean claims to various insurance companies.
  • Reviews billing reports, confirmations, and tracks daily claims activity.
  • Responsible for knowing and following assigned plans’ guidelines, pre-certification requirements and procedures for filing and appealing claims.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs and plans.
  • Implement appropriate billing policy procedures and procedures for all billing activities including follow-up on third-party approvals and collection of overdue patient accounts.
  • Maintains up-to-date expertise and knowledge of healthcare billing laws, rules, regulations and developments.
  • Responsible for analyzing and acting from pre-bill worksheets for respective plans, reviewing and correcting errors before daily submission.
  • Processes payments from insurance companies and prepares daily deposits.
  • Prepares, reviews and sends patient statements.
  • Identifies and resolves patient billing problems.
  • Responsible for the generation and distribution of pre-bills of assigned plan(s), electronic filing, paper filing and confirmation on an “as needed” basis.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on billing and collection activities.
  • Maintains accurate aging reports.
  • Reconcile A/R.
  • Identify and execute the necessary process adjustments.
  • Proficiently use CPT and ICD-9 reference documentation.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, and vendors.
  • Excellent knowledge of healthcare billing procedures, documentation and standards.
  • Ability to make sound and evaluative judgments; strong organizational, problems solving and analytical skills.
  • Understand contractual payment/reimbursement guidelines to ensure maximum reimbursement.
  • Working knowledge of coding to include: ability to apply modifiers when appropriate, bundle and unbundled codes, multiple procedures.
  • Understand documentation requirements for insurance reimbursement or medical necessity.
  • Complete understanding of billing based on chief complaint
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access); expert in Microsoft Excel; excellent with spreadsheet and medical billing software applications.
  • Multi-tasker who possess strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Previous medical office experience specifically geared towards billing and coding in the radiology arena.
  • Working knowledge of appropriate billing and payment cycles for medical accounts.
