This position is a fast paced environment for a manufacturing company that caters to rush orders. The right candidate must be dependable and able to work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member.
  • Assisting the sales team with gathering invoices and typing sales orders.
  • Data entry of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable information into computer.
  • Interact with clients, vendors and visitors.
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
  • Sign for and distribute UPS/FedEx or similarly delivered packages.
  • Perform general clerical duties to include, but not limited to, bookkeeping, copying, faxing, mailing and filing.

A working knowledge of financial institution operations, procedures, record keeping and financial reports.

Ability to deal and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.

Ability to analyze corporate tax records.

Experience in the preparation of Federal and State tax reports and forms.

Knowledge of IRS collection, correspondence and return processing procedures.

Ability to coordinate various ongoing activities to ensure the timely filing of all tax reports.

Skill in the use of standard office equipment, i.e., copiers, faxes, typewriters and calculators.

Skill in the operation of a personal computer, including the use of Microsoft’s Office Suite Products and other database programs.

Job Description:

The Accounting Operations Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of the company’s shared services center to include credit and collections, accounts payable, payroll, inventory and fixed asset accounting.  This position’s primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization’s accounting functions. This is NOT a technical accounting role. This is an operational/process implementation and improvement position.

Responsibilities:

  • Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the shared service center through focusing on continued process improvement in each functional area.
  • Maintain and improve accounting and administrative controls by deploying best practices in each functional area.
  • Act as primary interface with key stakeholders – branch support staff, vendors and customer.
  • Collaborate with key suppliers to resolve pending issues and facilitate a positive working relationship.
  • Manage day to day transactional processing of accounts receivable, payables, biweekly payroll, capital expenditures and inventory movement.
  • Establish performance targets and measure results against budget and operational goals.
  • Leads team in achieving department goals of providing exceptional customer service by eliminating or reducing defects and implementing process improvements in each functional area.
  • Supervise and coach a staff of 10 – 12.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years experience in varies accounting roles
  • 5+ years of relevant shared service center experience
  • Prior experience as an Accounting Manager is required
  • Excellent ability to work with executives and peers
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely fashion working independently
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent documentation and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

Maintain government grants, including due diligence and collaborating with the educational service center

Assist with reporting budgets and monthly financials

Monitoring financial procedures and internal controls


Requirements:

At least 1 year of work experience, preferred

Thorough understanding of GAAP standards and double-entry accounting required

Work experience with fund accounting preferred but not required

Proficiency in AptaFund accounting software, preferred but not required

Proficiency in MS Office

Excellent computer and interpersonal communication skills

Articulate, professional demeanor with strong self-confidence and initiative

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy environment with proven ability to meet deadlines and complete multiple tasks

  • Conducting internal safety audits and assisting with corrective actions.
  • Analyzing injury and near-miss information/data to identify trends and establish safety/risk reduction priorities and targeted focus areas.
  • Maximizing the effectiveness of ergonomics programs and initiatives.
  • Serve as the Leader of the Emergency Response Team.  Coordinates training and drills to reduce risk of emergencies, while being prepared to initiate team.
  • Actively partnering in the Process Safety Management and HazMat Response programs.

To be successful you must have a Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety, Fire Science and/or equivalent experience.  You must be knowledgeable in adult learning concepts; behavior based safety; ergonomics; federal and state (OSHA) general industry and construction standards; OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM); Fire Fighting and Rescue, preferably in the chemical industry.

The Safety and Fire Compliance Coordinator must have the innovation/creativity to be able to develop and implement safety programs and processes that engage employees and motivates them to think and work safely.  He/She needs to possess superior facilitation and small group communication skills.  The incumbent must have the analytical ability to interpret technical safety regulations, understand ergonomics, and be able to collaboratively problem solve and assist with the implementation of corrective actions.  The ability to influence upward, laterally, and downward without direct line authority is imperative.  The incumbent’s actions need to establish him/her as resource and partner in improving and maintaining, at minimum, regulatory compliance and strive toward best practice through people-driven safety efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum BA or BS.
  • A minimum of five years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required.
  • Several years of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training required. Certification in professional safety is preferred. ASP, CSP, EIT, FPE qualified.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
  • Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.

Primary Objective

Responsibilities:

  • Confer/coordinate with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects, products, or changes to equipment design or operational procedure.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for industrial purposes, including increasing plant performance or safety.
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements; along with company policy and procedure, such as safety.
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
  • Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment and order as needed.
  • Supervise and train project team members as necessary.
  • Investigate and test vendors’ and competitors’ products.
  • Ensure electrical plant designs and changes are in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
  • Training and supervision plant electrical employees, including but not limited to: performance appraisals, corrective actions, employee records, etc.
  • Review Work Orders and log sheets and take corrective action when needed.
  • Responsible for the safety of all electrical personnel, housekeeping in electrical area(s), and maintaining all electrical control rooms.
  • Conduct Root Cause investigations of any electrical equipment failures, maintain records of any failed electrical equipment, and generate reports on electrical equipment failures.
  • Monitor labor requirements and make necessary adjustments.
  • Monitor electrical parameters and maintenance of both the HYDRO and PYRO plan
  • Inspect the 69 KV substation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of five years work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required.
  • Several years of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training required. Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

Experience:

  • B.S. in Metallurgical, Chemical, or related Engineering field is required. A graduate degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in industrial R&D or Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in technical or operational management.
  • Some on-the-job training, but candidate should have the required skills, knowledge, work-related experience, and/or training. Lean or Six Sigma training preferred.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting the Environmental Department in matters related to environmental permitting, compliance monitoring, reporting, and auditing aspects of the plant operations.  Provides technical assistance to the Environmental department in evaluating current environmental permits and operations.  Provides assistance in developing permit modification applications and ensuring all regulatory requirements are addressed.  Conducts facility audits and coordinates implementation of corrective measures.  Obtains, organizes, and maintains compliance records & ensures compliance with applicable regulations in air, waster and solid waste areas.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides support to the EHS department in day to day plant operations.-
  • Provides assistance in preparing and maintaining environmental permits for the plant operations.
  • Provide assistance to the EHS department in conducting weekly environmental compliance and safety audits of facility.  The environmental audits must cover compliance topics under air, water and waste disciplines.  Communicates deficiencies to the plant personnel and follows up on implementation of corrective measures.
  • Responsible for coordinating and leading accident investigations relative to non-compliant events.  Responsible for communicating the action items and tracking progress.  Responsible for reporting non-compliance notifications to the appropriate agencies and for maintaining the required documentation and records.
  • Develops and maintains a system for tracking actions and corrective measures.
  • EMS & ISO 14001: Responsible for conducting EMS Steering Committee meetings, documenting the meeting mins, distributing the revisions to Aspects and Impacts.  Responsible for working with the Production and Maintenance departments in developing EMPs to address significant A&Is.
  • Coordinates with plant personnel in collecting compliance records in accordance with the permits.  Organizes and maintains compliance records in accordance with all applicable regulations.
  • Coordinates compliance sampling in accordance with environmental permits.  Provides direction in collecting multimedia sampling, preparing COCs and coordinates with external labs
  • Provides assistance in establishing and tracking sustainable development key indicators.
  • Provides assistance in developing various environmental & safety reports to the state and federal agencies.
  • Oversees field projects to ensure all environmental and safety protocols are followed.
  • Prepares and monitors waste minimization and reduction plans.
  • Coordinates with process engineers on any changes to equipment design or operational procedures.
  • Other environmental & safety duties may be assigned.
  • Serves as the Company’s representative to insure Quality Control and Safety during projects related to environment and safety.
  • Interacts with all departments in coordinating projects and in compliance assurance.
  • Works in writing PR’s for Environmental related expenses.  Checks invoices and processes them for payment with assistance from admin personnel.  Maintains PO and project cost database to track env budget costs.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering; MS Preferred with 4 to 5 years of.
  • 10+ years of industry work experience involving air, water and waste disciplines.
  • Working Knowledge of pertinent state and federal regulations for environmental and safety, including but not limited to RCRA, CERCLA, 30 TAC, OSHA, etc.
  • Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills, strong planning, and organizational abilities to manage the Environmental Department records..
  • Must have excellent working knowledge in software tools at a minimum, but not limited to: MS Word, and Excel, MS Access.
  • Must have working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems, ISO 14001.
  • Must have working knowledge in compliance auditing.

  • Become proficient with and enter data into ERP system.
  • Prepare presentations in PowerPoint or similar software, for various sales meetings and conferences.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports from ERP to show volumes, gross and net sales dollars, and finished goods inventories.
  • Prepare miscellaneous reports as needed.
  • Assist in month and year end closings.
  • Ability to travel 25% domestically.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five to ten years of experience in Refineries or Petrochemicals with extensive catalyst knowledge.
  • Must have a BA or BS in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or Technical degrees.
  • Accounting, SAP, and metals industry experience preferred.
  • Must be a self starter and self motivated.
  • Several years of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training is required.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  • Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations. Knowledge/familiarity with buying, selling, or use of ferroalloys.
  • Chemistry knowledge is also required.
