Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for a Procurement Specialist for our client in The Woodlands, TX on a Direct Hire basis.

Your role with the company:
The Procurement Specialist is a strategic as well as analytical role. The primary responsibility is to develop strategies for sourcing raw material and minimize cost for the company. In accordance with that are the daily duties of analyzing spend, managing vendors and agreements, insure a secure supply of raw materials, and identify cost-saving opportunities within the organization. Someone who understands trends in the marketplace and how they drive pricing is required in this role.
This is an environment where everyone’s work is highly visible which promotes a great team environment. The Procurement Specialist works closely with various internal departments. It is this unique structure that allows ones career to grow in other areas where they show aptitude.
Background profile:
4 year degree is required for this position
Excellent analytical skills and ability to present information
Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills (i.e. pivot tables)
6-8 years of Purchasing experience in chemicals, plastics, or other heavy industries
Previous experience with spend responsibilities of $50M+
Experience working with a major ERP system is required; SAP experience is a big plus
Strong communication and time management skills are also necessary given the pace of this department and organization
