Our El Paso, TX client is seeking a Project Engineer on a Direct Hire basis.
Responsibilities:
Assist Pro}act Manager with execution of the construction project
Responsible for maintaining certain aspects of project by managing the process of submittal approvals, coordinating timely delivery of materials, maintaining schedules and budgets
Assist in the development of the site utilization plan – review and coordination of the Loss Prevention and Quality Control Program
Manages pre-work subcontractor orientation meetings, ensuring documentation is completed for each subcontractor
Assist with bid package development and help solicit subcontractors and suppliers
Responsible for reviewing and processing all submittal data and shop drawings to ensure project schedules are expedited
Distributes proposal change documents to subcontractors and suppliers – assists in collecting pricing and/or prepares change proposal requests for internal pricing review
Build relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that meet customer’s expectations and reflect company core values
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications:
2+ years of construction experience
B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering or related field
Proficient with MS Office programs
Self-starter attitude who is detail oriented and very organized
Demonstrates leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct others, and effectrvely address conflict
Must have ability to make decisions under strict deadlines
