Our North Houston, TX client, located in the Cypresswood area, is in need of 2 Sales Assistants for a contract to possible hire opportunity.

Primary Function:
Provide a valuable link between customers and production plants, secures sales insuring proper pricing and profit margins while contributing to the overall effectiveness of the organization in achieving sales objectives.

Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Sales Assistant is to quote technical requirements, price and delivery time, to secure and enter orders, to invoice, to ship from warehouses/production plants to maximize the sale of company products. Responsibilities are listed below –  (this is not an all-inclusive list and is subject to change):

Quotation:
Deal directly with customers either by telephone or electronically.
Respond timely and accurate to customer inquiries for pricing, delivery and technical dates
Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle inquiries
Quote product price according to group pricing policy (Final decision regarding questionable pricing above or below market price shall be done by sales manager/sales director)
Quote technical and delivery dates
Timely and accurate enter all offer into Navision system with proper coding, pricing and special requirements.
Follow up on Price Lists and pricing in cooperation with Sales Manager
Record details of inquiries and comments

Orders:
Although selling products is not the primary function of a CSR, CSR may provide information that helps customers to make purchasing decisions for PPC. For instance, a CSR may point out a product that would fulfill a customer´s need – a deep knowledge about products is a must.
Process orders and order add-ons in close communication and coordination  with internal departments at the production plants (and in the future with Central planning)
Collect existing PPC documentation (ISO Certificate etc.)
Send all required documentation to customer
Enter timely and accurate all orders into Navision system with proper coding, pricing and special requirements, billing and shipping address, variants and conformance with selling policies.
Follow up the backlog (all open orders not delivered yet) and reconcile the backlog with production plants on a regular basis (weekly)
Provide customers with information about status of the order
Follow up the warehouse, inventory control

Delivery:
Inform client about ready to ship
Send shipping documents for approval if necessary
Get customer shipment release
In case of delays inform customer
In case of delays enter updated delivery date in Navision
Organize documentation for L/C and send to band
Manage transport with dispatch department

Others:
Efficient and timely handle customer complains, quality assurance problems, problems of shipment or any other customer concerns
Perform customer verification
Manage customers accounts
Record details about actions taken
Manage administration
Keep commission list up to date
Process debits and credits caused by customer deductions or returned material due to pricing, freight allowance, cancellations etc
Cash collection – Work in line with the Accounting Department / Management / Finance to follow up with customers and follow up on Management decisions.
Learn competitor’s products – quality, price, delivery; strengths and weaknesses.
Assistance and training of colleagues requiring help due to lacking experience or knowledge so they can learn how to be more productive in the daily task of securing orders and other job responsibilities – working as a team
Learn and understand all group processes
Appropriate knowledge of products and pricing parameters

Requirements:
Must have previous experience working in inside sales, sales assistant or a customer service role that supported an Outside sales person.
Must have oil and gas or manufacturing experience.
Experience with Navision, SAP, or very similar software is REQUIRED.
2+ years of directly related experience.
